Rarely have I encountered a series that covers a timespan of thousands of years and retains the thread and tone of the story. This does, and is well worth the read.

Wow! I REALLY enjoyed this book!

What did you love best about The Border?

If I told you this book had aliens, zombies and psychic powers all rolled into an end-of-world theme, you'd probably run screaming from this book. I almost did. But this author actually made all this WORK! Not just work - but its a great story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters were VERY well developed and its hard to pick a favorite. Ethan, the main character is the obvious choice. But event he more minor characters - JD, Hannah, Nicki - are all great. The author didn't make the mistake of making the good guys perfect. They are flawed and human.

Have you listened to any of Fred Berman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Fred Berman is one of my absolute favorite narrators!

What did you love best about The Only Ones?

The voice for this story was amazing. It pulled you in, kept you there, and made you a believer! Great job by the author. Amazing voice performance.

The main character has so much depth and realism.

What does Sasha Dunbrooke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sasha Dunbrooke MADE this book. She was the perfect voice of the main character.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I will never read anything from this "author" ever, ever, ever again. That should help.

What was most disappointing about Lisa M. Green’s story?

It s so incredibly poorly written. It was so utterly, horrendous bad that I am speechless.

What three words best describe Elizabeth Siedt’s voice?

Pure. Expressive. Pleasant.

Twilight - only with Angels instead of vampires

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Mostly boredom.

The first hour and half was spent listening to the main character cry and be horny. Her parents had just died, so the horribly written sorrow was at least realistic. The next 5 listening hours were a series of the main character breaking into tears for OTHER reasons, and being horny.

Would you listen to The Girl with All the Gifts again? Why?

Yes - I'd love to re-read it now that I know the ending to see the connections as they happen,

What other book might you compare The Girl with All the Gifts to and why?

That's difficult. The thing I like best about this book is that its unlike anything I've read before.

What about Finty Williams’s performance did you like?

Excellent narration! The performer took her time, and matched the tone of the book so very well. It was a joy to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was shocking. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

If I'd known when I brought it that it was about zombies, I wouldn't have looked at it twice. I'm so glad I didn't pass by this one. It was a worthy read and one that I'll continue to mull over for a very long time.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The plot was good. The story engaging. It wasn't the most amazing book of all time but it was entertaining.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The time hops were oddly developed. Either more detail and weight needed to be given to it, or just skip it entirely. It felt like the author was just trying to fill pages.

Which character – as performed by Ray Chase – was your favorite?

The character of the AI was actually very well performed. The performance of this character was my favorite.

Do you think Sub-Human needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

The second book in the series - Post Human - was utterly awful. It was not related to this book in any way, and was completely unneeded.

This is a nice piece of brain candy. There is no deep thinking required, but its entertaining all the same.
