This was a fun book with just the right amount of emotion. Lots of laughs, but not so that it became over the top ridiculous. Characters that I could care about. Didn't become mired in graphic sex scenes. I'm looking forward to more books by this author.

The performance was spot on.

Fantastic horror

Horror is a genre I almost never read. I had to stop listening at a few points because the darkness was so enveloping. That said, I have to rate this higher than I rate most audiobooks. The story was so full of fleshed out characters, scenes, and action. The narration was good.

Best of all, the author took the time to tie up loose ends, not just at the end, but throughout the book. I appreciated getting to know what happened to those various characters who made appearances during the journey. I'm off now, to search for other books by this author!

I've been waiting for this

I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Lately I've been dissatisfied in every novel, finding them all sounding the same. I found this story engaging. It is heavier on romance than many fantasy books, and not a lot of action, but I still found myself unable to turn it off. Looking forward to the next book.

Hot, Witty, and Boring

Insta love and hot sexy times are what makes up this book. The best parts of this book were the witty secondary characters- the cats. But there is no story here. No conflict, the protagonists are perfect (even the kid is perfect), and the extremely minor difficulty is dealt with simply and oh so cleanly. HEA of course

Just no...

This story was thin... it gave some background, but not enough so I could relate. The protagonist at one point was resistant to the H, and after blinking once she was deeply in love. Without spoilers, let me just say that the world building was all but missing entirely, and the rescue mission was ridiculous. Not going to listen to the next book

Simple Young Adult

Narration was good. Writing was fine. Story was....well, there wasn't much of a story. Character banter was witty and enjoyable, but not over the top, which is the only reason I continued to listen.

Will Definitely Listen Again!

This being a book about teens/young adults, I didn't think I would enjoy it. ( I'm in my 50s.) Surprisingly I did. Yes, there was drama, but I didn't mind because I felt connected to the characters. Narration was pretty good. The story had predictable parts, but I didn't mind because the characters had depth and I really cared about them.

Engrossing

The characters are strong, the story is engrossing, and it had amusing banter. Narration was good. My only issue was difficulty in the beginning of being able to tell what time period the current chapter was in. Perhaps this was by design, but it made the story confusing. Once I was able to figure out what was going on, I found the audiobook to be well worth a credit.

Sex and dialog

Three and a half hours in, and I give up. Normally I won't review unless I finish, but I'm making an exception. 3.5 hours, and only one event of note. Petre has character development, but it's almost all through talk. Disappointed after the first in the series.

Have listened several times!

Of all the Winston brothers books, this is my favorite. From the story to the narrators, everything was done right! The story has funny parts, yet tugs at your heartstrings. Am although both narrators were great, I particularly love Chris Brinkley. More than credit worthy!
