Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

narrator was great, good voicing for different. Nothing wrong with inclusion but the percentage of gay/tg characters made it a bit of a bump in my ability to suspend disbelief. some of the dialog is superfluous, tends to go on and on in places.

Historia
Most people want to avoid thinking about death, but Caitlin Doughty - a 20-something with a degree in medieval history and a flair for the macabre - took a job at a crematory, turning morbid curiosity into her life’s work. With an original voice that combines fearless curiosity and mordant wit, Caitlin tells an unusual coming-of-age story full of bizarre encounters, gallows humor, and vivid characters (both living and very dead).

Gay villain because of LDS doctrine?
Revisado: 01-07-21
I purchased most of the enders series and enjoyed before I found out about his position on gay people. I was able to read this for free so I tried to but when I found out he had made the villain gay I couldn't keep reading it. The work feels like LDS propaganda. The narrator did an excellent job as always.

Revisado: 12-21-18
It's a shame this book hasn't been reviewed more as it is a treasure, especially to those who are fans of the cyberpunk genre. Fans of William Gibson's early work will most likely not be disappointed. His writing is stripped down and efficient. The story doesn't linger over needless detail. Well thought-out and believable story.

Historia
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Vastly satisfying
Revisado: 04-22-18
Would you listen to All Systems Red again? Why?
Left me wanting so much more. The best scifi I've read in a long time. It's not more YA drivel which has invaded scifi to unacceptable levels. I want another 100 books in this series :) Thank you SO MUCH for writing this. Performance was without fault. No technical glitches in the playback either. It's just damn good writing from an interesting protagonist point of view.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Murderbot for obvious reasons
Which scene was your favorite?
spoiler, spoiler, spoiler, it was a big scene near the end.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Where does the meat stop and the circuits start?
Any additional comments?
Novella so good, this deserves a series of novels but I'll take whatever I can get.

Historia
Alison Rosen, host of the immensely popular podcast Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, is ready to conquer the world of books in this collection of hilarious and unpredictable columns. Alison wants to be living a fabulous life filled with myriad social engagements. She just also wants to not shower, put on a bra or leave the house. Plus, she dislikes dancing, the Fourth of July, and costume parties that involve skimpy attire. Basically, if it’s fun, count her out, which is too bad, since she so desperately wants you to think she’s fun.

Epic! begs for sequel but author seems iffy on it
Revisado: 07-05-15
If you could sum up Seveneves in three words, what would they be?
Epic, Thoughtful, Evocative
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the way the author thought about all the angles of what might happen and then showed us his imagination
Which character – as performed by Mary Robinette Kowal and Will Damron – was your favorite?
The morse code chick
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
When interviewed the author seemed iffy of whether or not he'd write a sequel. I doubt it judging on his past writings, he just doesn't do sequels. The ending felt cut short but stopped near a logical place.
