Historia
As a daughter, mother, and friend, Mary Laura Philpott considered herself an “anxious optimist”—a natural worrier with a stubborn sense of good cheer. And while she didn’t really think she had any sort of magical protective powers, she believed in her heart that as long as she loved her people enough, she could keep them safe.

Historia
Eve Hatch lives for surprises! Just kidding. She expects every tomorrow to be pretty much the same as today. She loves her cozy apartment in Brooklyn that’s close to her childhood best friend Willa, and far from her midwestern, traditional family who has never really understood her. While her job is only dream-adjacent, it’s comfortable and steady. She always knows what to expect from her life . . . until she finds herself expecting after an uncharacteristic one-night stand.

mostly enjoyed
Revisado: 09-03-24
nice story, different type of plot line, sometimes there was a little too MUCH detail and inner monologuing taking place.... and the narrator was very Very good.... I would say maybe a little too good because the love scene and birth scene were just way too much in terms of sound effects.

Sound quality
Revisado: 12-19-15
I felt the sound quality was poor. I had a hard time hearing throughout the story with the volume on all the way.

Something is wrong with this recording!
Revisado: 12-16-14
What disappointed you about Brenda's Christmas Desire?
About half way through this story a new chapter began that had completely different characters and storyline regarding a gin and a succubus.... I am fairly confident that it is a chapter from another book.... Then after that chapter ended the book resumes back to the original story, but obviously some of the story was skipped! I have never had an audible book or any audio book behave this way. If anyone wants to check this out, it happened between 30-45 minutes into the story.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The story that I was supposed to be listening to was fine, a very christmas-y story... But the random chapter in the middle wrecked it for me.
Any additional comments?
I hope someone at audible can look into this and hopefully fix it.

Where does Gone with the Wind rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to.
Any additional comments?
This is definitely a book I am glad I have on audio! It is so well narrated, and way better than watching the movie! The narrator does a fabulous job! I loved it!

Exciting story, very much like a mystery where I did not know what was coming next and the whole story was spent trying to figure everything out.

Narration was awful
Revisado: 03-29-14
What disappointed you about Aunt Dimity Slays the Dragon?
The narration.... It was very slow and robotic. I had to play it on 1.5 speed.
Would you be willing to try another one of Teri Clark Linden’s performances?
Possibly, but only because I really like audio books.
