A lot that I should have known
Revisado: 11-16-23
I grew up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the National Capital of the Cherokee’s. I went to the Trail of Tears play when I was a kid, but time does make a difference. This book is detailed and shows several aspects that I was not aware of. Worth the time for sure!

True Leadership Dust Here
Revisado: 04-25-23
Short and sweet and to the point! I am passionate about leadership, and am frequently disappointed by what I find in books lately. This one didn’t offer any of the fluff or pretend that leadership isn’t sometimes hard. It didn’t give an account of his perfection or point fingers when anything went wrong. I have been truly blessed to have had 5 great leaders in my lifetime, and I kind of feel as I finish this book that I missed an opportunity with this one. Great job Admiral McRaven!

Historia
Although much has been written about Al Capone, there has not been-until now-a complete history of organized crime in Chicago during Prohibition. This exhaustively researched book covers the entire period from 1920 to 1933. Author John J. Binder, a recognized authority on the history of organized crime in Chicago, discusses all the important bootlegging gangs in the city and the suburbs and also examines the other major rackets, such as prostitution, gambling, labor and business racketeering, and narcotics.

Great history and too many names to keep up with, but entertaining enough that I am going to listen again.
