It's more a book 2.5, a filler before true book 3.
Revisado: 02-10-25
I love LitRPGs. The first two books were great. I was anticipating 3rd book. But this one was weak. It felt a bit of wasted time. I'd call it a filler rather a good chapter in Cadia's life.
Like Ether said, she will need to re-earn her 3rd tail. And I got a feeling that number of tails synonymous to book number.

Historia
When Alice Verianna went to sleep, she was just another teen from the Denver suburbs. She definitely didn't expect to be transported to a magical alternate dimension, inhabited by monsters and presided over by a mysterious System. Here, people resemble RPG characters and everyone has access to their own status screens. Grappling with the mechanics of the elusive System isn't the only challenge Alice faces. It seems an underground organization known as the Society of Starry Eyes has taken a particular interest in other dimensions.

However!
Revisado: 11-30-23
Start off was great. World building and uncover progresses together with main character learn about it. interactions are nice. Main character growing is visible. Even though you can see her actually be a hard working girl, the way the story flows sounds more like she has a hidden Luck stat perk that helps her a lot.
My biggest issue for the author is the use of word "however". In the 2nd half of the book it was like every other sentence started off or used "however". It was present so much that by the time I was in last 5 hours of the book, every time I heard the word, I had issue focusing on the story.

Historia
The year is 2375, and the world has been drained of most of its natural resources. In order to preserve their dying planet, the government puts The Digital Life Initiative into action. Those deemed of low economic value are placed into a state of cryogenic sleep, their minds connected to a myriad of virtual worlds. They become digital citizens, living out their lives in virtual cities. Kadia Greene wasn’t someone who had any interest in the virtual worlds, unlike her brother who spent his days wasting away in a VR capsule.

One of the best LitRPGs I've read!
Revisado: 08-24-23
Good story. I loved the immersion into the world. Main character development as she got more involved with the guild was great, while she remained mischievous girl.
Only two things bother me though. First she immersed and accepted her digital life way too fast even before she was given the full scope of her situation. Second, in the second half of the book the entire IRL issue got completely forgotten by everyone.

Good story series, wonderful performance
Revisado: 01-20-23
Overall the trilogy is good. The narrator does marvelous job giving each character their unique, wonderful performance!
However, I can see this is author's first series of books, as it felt rushed at times. Some places, I felt, could have been written out more to give better volume to the story, alas they were skipped over with little details. I imagine a rollercoaster between the well told spots and those that got skipped over.
Never the less, the story itself is great. The development of the important young and some old characters is wonderful. And I have to say it again, the job the narrator did is just fantastic! Dave Cruse simply breathed life into the story and made it so much more.
