Good story but....

The story dragged at a few parts. I love the main characters and some of the side characters but it focused away from the main story too often imo. At those points and a few others the story dragged a bit. A large portion of the story is tangents and it took me out of enjoying it a few times. I also felt like the majority of this book was largely a bridge to get to the next one. Still it was good and if you're already this far into the series you will definitely enjoy it.

I know this is pretty much the end and it was fantastic. That being said, there is a lot of story left to be told here and I hope we get more from this world.

Im excited for the future of these books. Im hoping the Falling With Folded Wings crossover happens in the next book. Its kind of pulling ahead in timeline isnt it. I think it makes sense to happen soon and I'll be a bit turned off if it doesnt.

I like it. I read these kinda like a guilty pleasure but I hope the story moved along a bit more. Not much really happened. It seemed like it was mostly a setup for future books without much growth.

I felt like this one needed a bit more focus. It took some odd turns a couple times. Otherwise its as good as always. Sex scenes a bit long at times but thats the usual. My main complaint is lack of focus on some of the children. He's so focused on power leveling him and his matriarchs that he doesnt do enough for his sons or oldest daughters imo. Those are nitpicks though and overall I like this.

I enjoyed it

I thought this was better than the last couple books and tied up a bunch of loose ends. Certain things I disliked that were happening also worked themselves out. So this was a solid conclusion to major story arcs as well as a good beginning to the new arc that had been teased. I’m excited for the next book now.

They never get anything done. A hundred good ideas and no follow through. "Hey we should do this." "Ok...." Then they start it and you never hear about it again. Like I said with the first book, the characters are good and the world is good. Its the story that's lacking imo.
