The information in this book is quite helpful, but difficult to assimilate because it sounds like it is being read by a machine. The machine was very often miss pronounces words or uses difficult to follow cadence. I really wish the author would invest in a decent reading

The book is still good, but I think I will get the print version. The narrator clearly did not study previous books. Her mis pronunciation of important things Was frankly an excusable. And instead of using a dignified English voice she tried to make things sound perky and Pepe and more modern English. All in all it completely ruined the book for me

The short, entertaining, and incredibly insightful performance by Harvey Fierstein reflects beautifully the soul of Bella Abzug, champion of women’s rights, champion of human rights. It gives a lovely portrayal of her personal beliefs, her life experiences, and her fears for the future of our world. A must listen for anyone who cares about their fellow humans

One of the best most entertaining stories I’ve heard in a long

The book was amazing. The performance stellar. Every time you thought you had something figured out the storyline twisted again. Full of improbable situations and hilarious laughs. I particularly enjoyed the outtakes at the end, and I would love to hear more of those added to Books. This is worth every minute of the time you spend listening

The pairing of this author and this narrator cannot be beat. Tons of laughs lots of thought-provoking material. I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for them to produce another masterpiece

an amazing and talented author

I have followed the works of Christopher moore for many years. his talent continues to grow exponentially. euan Morton and Oliver Wyman are by far the best performers to record mr. Moore's work. I would probably purchase earlier works again recorded by either of these talented performers

It was one of the funniest mysteries I have listened to in a long time

Which scene was your favorite?

The acting was so good, and the writing so complete that scene after hilarious scene made itself vivdly present. It is too difficult to tell which was the best.

I laughed, and laughed, and laughed

This was my first experience with the author and narrator team. After listening, I can say that I am a confirmed fan of Joan Hess and C J Critt

Merry Wives and Merry Murder

I liked both

It was full of twists and turns that kept me guessing, but the plot was also consistent with foreshadowing and clues supplied all along, so that it did not result in one of those irritating

Have you listened to any of C. J. Critt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is one of her best performances.

Yes. It was a little difficult to realize that the murder victim was a youngster, but as her character developed later in the book, it made it more palatable. As for the performer, she is excellent. She has her characters well developed, although Ruby B seems to have more of a Bronx accent than your local Arkansas dialect. Overall

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen to these as I commute, so this would not be possible, but I certainly looked forward to each new listen.
