Could have been better

Since this seems to be the final book I'm going to finish it, otherwise I would have given up. Nothing against the male narrator, but I just haven't enjoyed this book much at all because of him. It seems like the accent for Crash changes throughout and the narration just seems boring and the humor that I enjoyed in the previous books is just missing in this one. I mean I guess it's there but it just doesn't seem as funny as when Lauren Fortgang was narrating. I understand that most of this is from Crash's point of view, but it's just not as good as the previous books. I've really enjoyed this series, but this book falls flat to me.

This book was all over the place. Underhill is her mother? What's that about? The speech pattern is weird in Underhill and the explanation for it doesn't make a lot of sense, although it makes it a little different and provides a little interest. There seems to be a bunch of bad things? people? witch? troll? tea drinker? darkness? MC has to save the children, go after the darkness, get blood from the Oracle's boyfriend (sorry I can't remember his name from the other books), deal with the creepy lady that drinks tea and lives inside MC. Weird attraction to 2 different men. Chapter 19 is just a bunch of strange. Did I forget the talking bat that lives in her hair? And then there's all this talk about bringing in Ireland, but only 1 small character that has an Irish accent. Everyone else there has no accent. The Queen of all Fae doesn't talk like Hyacinth at all, and why is she in Ireland? If this seems confusing, welcome to the book. Even with all this I still kind of like it. Just wish it was a little more polished. I'll give it a B+ for effort.

I love her Magical Midlife

I love her Magical Midlife books and the build up to some smut that seems to match the books story line. but this book I just couldn't get behind. it's pretty much porn almost from the beginning. Unfortunately, I can't return it since I paid for it. I doubt I'll listen to this at all. I had really high hope for this one.

I love this series so much! I've listened to books 1-6 at least three times. There are many laugh out loud moments in all the books. Listening to this one just really wasn't as good to me. I realize that new characters are being introduced, but at the expense of my favorites. There wasn't enough Naimh, Mr. Tom, Edgar or Dave. I hope they'll be more from them in the next book. Nessa isn't one of my favorite characters (I don't dislike her) so I think we can go back to our beloved Ivy House Team.

Just kind of boring.

I usually really like her book and did enjoy the first two books in this series. But this one seems kind of repetitive and boring. Much closer to porn than a interesting plot. I'm not even sure I'll finish it.

I've loved this series and all the characters! But since they've added the "romance" to it so heavily it's become kind of boring. The best characters have taken a backseat and the laugh out loud moments are farther apart.

I triedc each track and it made me more anxious than I was before listening to it. it would stop and start, loud then soft. Just plain annoying.

I loved this book!!

I really enjoyed this book. To me it seemed to have some refreshingly new ideas. I thought the narrator did a great job as well. I read another book by the same author and loved that one as well. I hope she comes out with many more and soon!!

Not worth the time

I just started chapter 8 and our two main characters have barely said two words to each other. The story just goes on and on and never gets anywhere. I've listen to several of Sands' books and have liked them fairly well, but this one is a disappointment.
