had me going from distraugh to cheering at my seat

love the second story going from moments like the engagement ring, making my heart sink and cheering in my seat as a drive down the road. I love how you've made me bond to our new captain to the point that I feel similar to what he feels and trying to guess what he comes up with next, which is fun being proven right.
I love how I have been able to form emotional connections to these characters, especially the main character and doctor Viv. and always the comic relief of hardy adoring the Rambo reference with the belt fed machine gun and the bandana. the presence of shotguns also made me chair and imagining the thundering sounds of broadsides gets me giddy every time

Thousands of crew are reported dead, including the ship’s captain. To make matters worse, there’s a murderer running loose on board the ship, critically low fuel levels, and the Grish are back, in fast pursuit and ready to finish what they’d started. Only by sheer luck - and a good measure of cagey smarts - will Quintos be able to rise to the challenge.

very suspenseful and exciting

I really enjoyed the story going from a wide view to focusing to boots on the ground. I am a truck driver so listening to this makes my day so much more enjoyable.
I love the performance by James Cronin
my first audiobook but far from my last writing this after finishing book 2 aswell.
