There is a voice of longing inside each woman. We strive so mightily to be good: good partners, daughters, mothers, employees, and friends. We hope all this striving will make us feel alive. Instead, it leaves us feeling weary, stuck, overwhelmed, and underwhelmed. We look at our lives and wonder: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? We quickly silence that question, telling ourselves to be grateful, hiding our discontent—even from ourselves.

How disappointing!

From the many “raves” and celebrity endorsements, I was excited to “read” this book. I couldn’t even finish it, seriously nauseating. The title evokes a yearning we, especially women, have in a world of expectations and pre-assigned roles, a hope to stoke the fire within, unbridled and “untamed”. The author clearly has an agenda. Not personal growth but pro LGBTQ, pro abortion, pro unlawful immigration, anti Christ in his full, only convenient, cooperative aspects. This book is self indulgent and not relatable to me at all, nor to the many beautiful and fiery women I know.

True confession. As a 60 year old, more "hippie" than "techie", the title went a bit over my head. What I discovered upon a very pleasant, insightful and enjoyable listen, is a clear, easy to follow, complete "Masterclass" in Christian blogging. The authors cover every possible aspect of blogging and leave the reader/listener feeling equipped to enthusiastically, yet wisely, follow God's nudging in this beautiful direction. Emphasizing "God's Glory" as the sole guiding, propelling, and enriching cornerstone, I felt extremely inspired and highly recommend this wonderful book.
