His irritation at being dragged away from home soon dissipates, as he relaxes in the picturesque surroundings, enjoying the company of good friends. Even the sudden snowstorm is accepted without complaint; it will be a white Christmas. But then Patsy Hodge discovers a dead body in the salt box.

Excellent Series

Love the further character development of Meredith's "family" and always happy to have Peggy more involved. She is a hoot and never fails to make me laugh out loud. Kept me guessing until the end as to who the killer was. I realize now that I read the last two books out of order, but it made no difference. As always, excellent narration by Lee Beddow.

The wedding is ruined when Meredith is arrested and his half brother turns up with a body in the boot of his car. The investigation reveals that Patsy and Amanda are being stalked and are in the sights of a sadistic killer. It seems an old adversary is trying to ruin Meredith’s life before he wipes out everyone Meredith cares about.

Love this Series

I really enjoyed this book. I love the Meredith and Hodge characters and hope the brother will show up again in future books. The interaction between Meredith and Hodge is fun, as usual. The plot twists and turns and keeps you guessing all the way through, although I did figure out who the killer was by the end. Lee Beddow continues with his excellent narration. Love that lead in to the next book!

Love this Series!

The first chapter was a bit confusing but everything fell into place by chapter 2. Once the search for evidence began, I could not stop listening. The characters are likeable and I always enjoy Peggy being part of the story. This was a great addition to the series, and Lee Beddow is the perfect choice for narration.

I loved this book! Kept me guessing until the end. So happy to know that Jack will be back. I didn't like to think the story would end for him. I totally enjoyed the reading by the author, which makes or breaks a good listen. So looking forward to the next book!

There was so much going on in this book that I felt lost at times. I liked it better when Meredith and Hodge were not working undercover. Lee Beddow is an excellent narrator, but I think I missed some details with the audio version. I would've been able to follow the plot better if I'd read it myself. Although this wasn't my favorite, I still love the series and the characters, and I was glad that Peggy made another appearance.

Love this Series!

I absolutely love this series and the characters become more beloved with each read. The new character, Peggy was a great addition and I hope she will appear in the future. She gave me a lot of good laughs! As always, MK Turner leaves us hanging at the end, which is a good thing, because I can't wait to start the next novel. Lee Beddow is the perfect choice to narrate this series.

I am a Meredith & Hodge fan! I love the character development, and this story kept me guessing until the end. I like that Patsy's investigation ties in with Meredith's search for a killer. As always, the narration is perfect for this series and makes me want to keep listening.

I loved the second book in the series as much as the first. The plot was complicated and kept me guessing until the end. The ending left me hanging, and eager to start the next book. The narrator is phenomenal and makes this book very easy to listen to. C. McQueen

This is the first novel by M K Turner that I have read. I loved it so much and cannot wait to get started on the next in the series. There are plenty of twists to keep you guessing as to whodunnit and lots of laughs as well. The narrator, Lee Beddow, is absolutely perfect for this series. I could not stop listening!
