Historia

Started off interesting and went down a cliff

A 3 out of 5. The suspense never materialized and storyline remained flat and repetitive.

Historia
When a young man is found gruesomely murdered in a London houseboat, it triggers questions about three women who knew him. Laura is the troubled one-night-stand last seen in the victim’s home. Carla is his grief-stricken aunt, already mourning the recent death of yet another family member. And Miriam is the nosy neighbor clearly keeping secrets from the police. Three women with separate connections to the victim. Three women who are – for different reasons – simmering with resentment. Who are, whether they know it or not, burning to right the wrongs done to them.

the story moves from interesting to terribly dull
Revisado: 10-14-20
I wish I could get my time back for the 2nd half of this one. it starts promising and gets interesting through the first half. It's dull from them on, becoming actually boring and silly towards the end.

one and done with this author
Revisado: 07-26-19
What starts off as an interesting story becomes a long and over complicated narrative that drags on forever and for no good reason. The plot doesn't really thicken or gets more interesting, by the time the conclusion arrives there is no clinax.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Struggled to finish the book. The story went nowhere for any of the characters in it. it circled around menial and mundane details, descpritions of irrelevant places, situations and memories for the characters.

Historia
Thirty thousand years ago, ice was storming the planet. Among the species forced out of the trees and onto the steppes by the advancing cold was modern man, who was both predator and prey. No stranger to the experiences that make us human - a mother's love and a father's betrayal, tribal war and increasing famine, political intrigue and forbidden love, joy and hope and devastating loss - our ancestors competed for scant resources in a brutal landscape.
