...and are looking for a fictionalized account of actual events, this is a "maybe" — but only if you are also interested in a romance and don't care about the facts of her life.
If you want to know more about the real life of Deborah Samson, there's an Author's Note at the end and your local librarian can help you find other resources there or on the internet.
It wasn't a bad story, it just seemed to make a sudden turn at the end that completely threw me and sort of spoiled it for me.

I hope that everything Christopher Moore writes is this good! I loved his Shakespeare-based madness all three times, and am sad to see it end!

Could "King Lear" be a Comedy?

Yes. Not only a Comedy, but one as bawdy as any of Will's original scripts! If everything Christopher Moore writes is this good, I've found another author to add to my (very short) list of favorite authors. Love this, just finished it, and I'm already reading the next one, "Serpent of Venice"!

Seanan Mcguire writes another terrific installment of the InCryptid series, and Emily Bauer is getting a much better grasp on the vocabulary required to be able to perform these books.

Love the story, worth it to bear with the narrator

I love the story — the whole series is terrific — and I'm re-reading it (again, for the nth time); it's that good!
I'm pretty sure that Emily Bauer (narrator) gets better as she reads more of the books (because if she didn't, I would have had to quit reading them on Audible and move to print!), so bear with it through this one even when it makes you cringe. It's worth it!

There have been a few books that I've had to increase the speed on, but this is the only one in my memory that I've had to *reduce* the speed on. Not by much, only to .95x, but the original speed made me feel as if I was reading competitively rather than for pleasure.
Once that was done, it was as easy a read as the other books in this series that Amy Landon has narrated.

Gildart Jackson does a marvelous job of narrating as always, but this book was not up to Simon R. Green's usual standard.

If you're a mystery fan, you'll probably have the "who" part of the "whodunit" figured out pretty early on. It's still a good read, but it may be frustrating if you're reading these for the "mystery" aspect. If you can put it to the back of your mind or are reading it for the fun of it, then it's still a good read!

Coro-lary or Corolla-ree?

Sometimes British pronunciations get exceptionally interesting. "Corollary" was one of those words I had obviously never heard pronounced before; I missed part of the book because I was trying to figure out first what the word meant and then how to wrap my mouth around it (say "corolla" and then add "ree") I did back the book up and catch what I missed, but that was a doozie of a word.

The story of how we got from "discovery" to where we are in 2019 politically and socially. It's a repeating pattern revealed through American social history.
