Historia
Lydia works as translator for the Logi cultural attaché to Earth. They work well together, even if the act of translating his thoughts into English makes her somewhat wobbly on her feet. She’s not the agency’s best translator, but what else is she going to do? She has no qualifications and no discernible talent in any other field. So when tragedy strikes and Lydia finds herself at the center of an intergalactic incident, her future employment prospects look dire—that is, if she can keep herself out of jail!

Annoying narration
Revisado: 06-12-24
I am not from the US but I found the American accents very annoying, and fake... and what was with the "go slow" mode when using an American accent! Grrr. Ruined the listen for me. Narration for the main character was fine. The story was different and I wanted to know what happened but as the narration frustrated me I couldnt enjoy the story. For me this would have been more fun if I had read it.

Historia
Cecilia Bassingwaite is the ideal Victorian lady. She's also a thief. Like the other members of the Wisteria Society crime sorority, she flies around England drinking tea, blackmailing friends, and acquiring treasure by interesting means. Sure, she has a dark and traumatic past and an overbearing aunt, but all things considered, it's a pleasant existence. Until the men show up.

Sorry but not for me
Revisado: 06-27-21
Going by the reviews I was expecting to find myself enjoying a fantasy romance, having a few laughs and enjoying the pleasure of reading something a little different. I am someone who likes "weird" books but so far I am finding this story to be silly and dull, woman pirates in flying houses instead of ships is just not for me. It is well written (if at times a bit too wordy) and maybe it does improve but I have a lot of other books I can listen too and my time is precious. For now I am debating whether to ask for a refund or leave and try another day . No issues with the narrator, she was quite good.

An unexpected find
Revisado: 08-06-18
Have really enjoyed listening to this series, always look forward to each new audiobook release. Although each episode is only approx 2hrs long each story has been well written and doesn't feel rushed, the characters are great fun and the narration is excellent. While I like a good mystery I don't enjoy too much gruesomeness in my books so these cozies suit me just fine.

Historia
In this, the fourth installment of the Doyle and Acton mystery series, Detective Sergeant Doyle realizes that several apparently unrelated murders are actually "containment" murders - murders to contain an ominous scandal that could reach into the highest levels of Scotland Yard's CID. In the process of tracking down the killers, however, she comes to the unsettling conclusion that Chief Inspector Acton has committed a containment murder or two of his own.

A Disappointment
Revisado: 11-08-17
Enjoyed the previous 3 books in the series, favourite relistens so have been hoping more of the series would be released as audiobooks. What a disappointment, only managed 30mins before switching to another book. The narrator was not very good, very grating with the male voices and often with the wrong accents, the audio quality was also poor. Unless these books are narrated by Marcella Riordon I won’t be listening to them. Will also be asking for a refund.

A good listen
Revisado: 08-23-10
My first audiobook in this entertaining series of books. Loved the story but felt the narration let it down, narrator could have put more effort into using different voices for the various characters.
