Historia
Jemele Hill’s world came crashing down when she called President Trump a “white supremacist”; the White House wanted her fired from ESPN, and she was deluged with death threats. But Hill had faced tougher adversaries growing up in Detroit than a tweeting president. Beneath the exterior of one of the most recognizable journalists in America was a need—a calling—to break her family’s cycle of intergenerational trauma.

Find your passion
Revisado: 07-21-24
Uphill told a story about a person in her own words. Showed how passionate she was. It told a story of resilience. It told the good and bad, success and failure. It was great to hear the other side of the story that was portrayed in the news……….
I very much enjoyed the story of a woman who could have bowed out gracefully. She kept her head up and continued to climb every time she got knocked down. So proud of you.
You deserve to put in a category with some of the strong, trail blazing women that came before you.
Keep Climbing.

Historia
In Normal Broken, Kelly Cervantes isn't trying to tell you what to do, how to feel, or the right way to heal. She's also not flinging sunny thoughts, vibes, and prayers at you. After losing her daughter to epilepsy, she knows that grief is many things. Something everyone will have to deal with. But never linear. Just as what we are grieving varies, so do our journeys to process it. Normal Broken was born out of this desire to meet people where they are in their grief journeys, to lend a hand, or maybe to just sit in the dark with them.

I truly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It was like listening to a friend. I enjoyed the way she talks about grief and makes it make sense. I was happy she had the courage to speak about something as painful as losing a child. It’s comforting to hear that people can get back to happy without getting to normal and not be broken. Thank you for the book mark on my flight. Thank you for the inspirational story of love and loss and survival. Looking forward to reading your next book. A Harrison

We all want love. Everything we do is in pursuit of love, but that journey has gotten difficult and complicated. We're programmed to seek love outside of ourselves, and we're trained that love is something to earn, or a destination to reach; that programming blinds us to the simple truth that we are beautiful, eternal sources of love, and to BE LOVED is to BE LOVE.

How to be loved
Revisado: 02-06-23
This book tackles a lot angles. All of which can be relayed too. It teaches you how and why of how to be loved. From a hopeless romantic, its has been a welcomed journey. Ive listen to the book twice already. I see it as a continuous resource that I plan to rely on and relay to help others. I heard you on the breakfast club podcast. I was impressed. Ordered the audible. Very happy to have this resource in my life. Thank you for sharing something very important and very necessary. A Harrison
