Historia
When the enslaved Jim overhears that he is about to be sold to a man in New Orleans, separated from his wife and daughter forever, he decides to hide on nearby Jackson Island until he can formulate a plan. Meanwhile, Huck Finn has faked his own death to escape his violent father, recently returned to town. As all readers of American literature know, thus begins the dangerous and transcendent journey by raft down the Mississippi River toward the elusive and too-often-unreliable promise of the Free States and beyond.

When Mallory Blessing's son, Link, receives deathbed instructions from his mother to call a number on a slip of paper in her desk drawer, he's not sure what to expect. But he certainly does not expect Jake McCloud to answer. It's the late spring of 2020 and Jake's wife, Ursula DeGournsey, is the frontrunner in the upcoming Presidential election. There must be a mistake, Link thinks. How do Mallory and Jake know each other?

A big disappointment
Revisado: 08-12-21
Frankly, a little embarrassed that I listened to the whole thing. A story of selfish, self-absorbed people. The best character in this book was Nantucket.

Historia
Too many real estate professionals today are on the brink of burnout. They engage in poor eating habits, rarely get enough sleep, are perpetually late, miss important family events, and are basically hating life. What would you say if I told you there are proven strategies, systems, and habits that, if implemented, can help you create a sustainable business - without burning you out physically, emotionally, or mentally? Burn the Hamster Wheel combines practical solutions along with stories and examples of what not to do.

Great, Informative and Quick Read!
Revisado: 05-03-21
I had the good fortune to attend several of Cheryl Knowlton's real estate classes. She teaches with enthusiasm, humor, & transparency, and this book is no different! I listened to her delightful book (Burn the Hamster Wheel) on Audible Saturday while I worked on a gruesome to-do list and besides being motivating and fun, it reminded me of all the reasons I do the work I do, how to do it better, and why its okay to jump off the wheel. I'm going to go back and listen again (it is short and to the point, people so get on it) with pen in hand, my new Panda Planner on my lap, and look ahead with less stress & trepidation. I've been out of real estate for several years, but the wisdom in this book is applicable to any career or life path. Thank you!

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

Please do your research.

Overall I enjoyed the book and reading but I am always frustrated (and I find this often with Mormon material) when producers can’t make the time to research proper pronunciation of significant Mormon words. In this particular book: Zion and Moroni.
