This was a fun read. Thought-provoking! I loved the multiple viewpoints and how the handoff happens. I enjoy being taken on a ride like this where you don't know exactly what happened for the longest. It was a good length, thrilling mystery through and through, and had a satisfying end. What more could you ask for?

Love all of his books, they are a little bit on the academic side, so I normally end up listening through them a couple of times to soak everything in. But, this book certainly helps paint a more accurate picture of the supernatural landscape. Thanks, Doctor!

This is a great sleep companion! I especially like the instrumental ambient music behind the nature sounds. There are plenty of tracks that include different types of environmental noises. wind, thunder, fire, rain, waves, forest, etc. I like that each track was over an hour, so if you have a hard time falling asleep, it will see you through. Just remember to slow your reading speed down to 1X if you normally listen to books faster.

Jade's character has developed well in the second book. It was nice to see her have a bit more struggle without an instant positive outcome. I am left wondering if she will ever fail at anything still. However, the characters are entertaining, the world is unique and plot the plot leaves me with several theories about what is happening with the Mesmer and how she got into the game/Andara. I am looking forward to the hunt.

This LITRPG was amazing! I usually don't read LITRPG's because the few I have tried in the past were too heavily saturated with stats and notifications, while this is a vital part of a LITRPG I think Dakota struck the perfect balance between pertinent information and fluidity. A truly spectacular story, love the different twist with how it starts, LOVE the snarky AI, can't wait for the next one!
