I have been searching for a book that was unpredictable and made me want to listen/read it at all times of the day… this is it. I literally want more, I wish the book didn’t end. STRONGLY RECOMMEND

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Boring
Revisado: 08-14-21
It was hot and spicy sexually but the rest of the book was boring and pretty predictable. Other than that, the male narrator was SO UNBELIEVABLE. I couldn’t picture him as a strong 24 year old male pilot AT ALL. Awful.

Romance and crime drama
Revisado: 01-24-20
I was pleased with this story, and have already recommended it to others. It’s got twists, and although it can be predictable at times, it kept me listening! Mia Sheridan deserves to have this book heard! I love a good ol true crime podcast and the author did a great job of making this book feel very close to that while also keeping the story interesting for the main characters. Loved having the view of a cop and victim the whole time.

Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours. A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land. An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny. We signed a contract on the back of a Boar’s Head Pub napkin that said if we ever met again, we would drop everything and be together. Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here. Romance
Revisado: 01-24-20
The book is good, keeps you listening, but I couldn’t get past how cringey the sexual content was. I’ve read many romance novels and this one had me wrinkling my nose a little embarrassed while listening. Also, the “notes” from other people in the story were generally cringey as well. Although I enjoyed the story it’s not something I would recommend.

Powerful read
Revisado: 04-19-18
If you could sum up Case for Christ, Revised & Updated in three words, what would they be?
Powerful, convincing, researched.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Case for Christ, Revised & Updated?
Its not that any moments were memorable the whole book was just interesting
What about Lee Strobel’s performance did you like?
Love that he wrote the book and read it because it allowed you to hear the book how he wanted you to.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
no, but it was worth the several car rides it took
Any additional comments?
I understand why people dog on the book saying he looked for answers and found them and everyone he interviewed was religious so of course they answered how they did, but he did a good job of showing professional well renowned people who are ALSO religious and answered him truthfully. He may have interviewed religious people for a religious book but its not as though they were all preachers, he made sure to still find very professional people. he asked a lot of questions that as a reader you might ask as well and did a good job of explaining his findings. at the end you may have asked more people or different people but the case he makes is entertaining and appealing enough.

Historia
Face it, your attitudes about marriage and the path to marriage are probably wrong. Some you've inherited, some you've simply bought - hook, line, and sinker - and some you've made up yourself. They have translated into bad action (or no action) in dating and relationships. But it's not too late; you can break the cycle of dating dysfunction and learn to honor marriage, marry well, and live intentionally while you wait.

New perspectives
Revisado: 04-19-18
What made the experience of listening to The Dating Manifesto the most enjoyable?
The author obviously took her time to really think of experiences she herself has had that lend to the story. if you found yourself wondering if what she was saying is truly applicable then she would add a story in which her experience was shown to be true.
What did you like best about this story?
It was an easy to understand and flowing read where I didn't feel like I was being lectured but I felt like I was getting advice. I also didn't feel like this book was telling me how where and when to get married as much as it was giving young adults advice on their dating life and helping explain all different situations on why one relationship may or may not have worked out.
Which scene was your favorite?
The chapter about the 5 reasons you're not in love. TRUTH.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Theres not a ONE for everyone.
Any additional comments?
I read this book after a bad breakup thinking it would help me understand how to get into a more healthy future relationship. instead I came out understanding more about myself and other people and getting a new perspective on being single and on my future dating. You don't have to be a christian to enjoy this book either. There are underlying tones of religion but the main point to the book gets across without all the religious talk. REALLY recommend for anyone in their 20's or 30's single, in a relationship, happy or sad with either one.

enjoyable beach read
Revisado: 04-19-18
If you could sum up Girls in White Dresses in three words, what would they be?
enjoyable, beach, read.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I liked the different perspectives and the looping stories. I liked that you learned about each girl to an extent but that you still mainly focused on isabel.
Which scene was your favorite?
idk
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
nope. its a simple read. not much emotion
Any additional comments?
As a young adult woman this book is relatable. everyone getting married or looking for marriage and some people finding it in places or people you didn't expect while still the main character struggles. but each character doesn't have much depth and you end up not really caring about any of the relationships which sucks because the whole book is about relationships.

At 23, Ruth Saunders headed west with her 70-year-old grandma in tow, hoping to be hired as a television writer. Four years later, she's hit the jackpot when she gets The Call: the sitcom she wrote, The Next Big Thing, has gotten the green light, and Ruthie's going to be the show-runner. But her dreams of Hollywood happiness are threatened by demanding actors, number-crunching executives, an unrequited crush on a boss, and her grandmother's impending nuptials.

Cliche.
Revisado: 04-19-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Make it not so cliche. I can't stand main characters who don't think like a normal person would. I get that your own life gets in the way and your past experiences influence you but I think the average person would be more grateful for their grandmother in this situation and a lot less ridiculous when it comes to a love life. The main character acts like she was hurt by this person who was a boss on one of her shows because he got married, but they were never in a relationship so its really just adding to the idea that all girls are PSYCHO
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Made the main character less desperate for affection. she was like a puppy chasing after these guys. and made her care about her grandma more
Which scene was your favorite?
I don't know. probably scenes when she wasn't complaining and was just learning how to make her TV show. the stuff that seemed more real
Do you think The Next Best Thing needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
NO please. because there wasn't much depth as it was
Any additional comments?
I wouldn't recommend unless you really like the process of getting your own TV show and what goes into it because the rest of the story is boring.

ANNOYED but good
Revisado: 04-19-18
Would you listen to Before I Go again? Why?
No, because once you know the ending you know the ending.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked how it gave you a real feeling perspective on a stubborn young woman with cancer.
What does Kirby Heyborne and Rebecca Lowman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
you get more emotion from the words being able to hear them with inflection and tone.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
mostly couldn't put it down
Any additional comments?
I got very angry at the main character Daisy in the book. For a large part of the book she wouldn't speak her mind and I don't know how realistic that would be, for me id be much louder about my opinions. it actually got to the point it was frustrating and I wanted to cast forward to see if she ever spoke her mind. but the book was still a good read.
