I noticed John Waters narrated this title.
I knew it meant two things, it would be out of my usual wheel house, and bizarre to say the least. This fast paced book covers ever thing from the cradles of civilization, to the last nano second of social media. It covers kindness cruelty, hope, despair, with science and witchcraft thrown in the mix. You won’t regret selecting this audio book.

LitRPG seems pretty hard to pull off

I tend to like LitRPG authors who bring more to the game, namely humor like Scott Meyer, and Robert Bevan, but Mrs Summers builds a pretty good world without bogging down the story line with repetitive details of stats, grinding, or glossing over how the characters or story line gets from one point to another.
This Author has a voice, and I hope I don’t have to wait too long before I hear it again.

This has been one of my favorite SF series.

While there is nothing new under this or any other sun, there are still unique stories to be told.
This is a series that I found to be exceptional.
From the vastly alien, to the singularity between machine and human, this is a story well worth hearing.

Excellent fantasy novel

The start was somewhat diffused, but once the characters came into focus, the plot was set and story carried me away.
The world is well rendered, the magic systems richly diverse, the main characters fairly complex. The Narrator is one of the best, and did a really good job bringing the characters to life.
When the Heavens Fall is well worth a listen.

I really like this series

In my opinion this is the author's best work. The featured characters are under sharper focus. The storyline is interesting, and not at all
predictable. The narration is perfect.
My understanding is that this is only going to be a three book series. That would be a terrible shame as I feel the Midnight TX stories are a cut above Mrs Harris' Southern Vampire Series.

Excellent story, great pacing.

An almost seamless interweaving of alien invasion, spy vs spy, military response, betrayal, evil, and hope. The characters are sharply drawn, technologies believable. Throw in top notch narration, and you have this gem.
