I learned more of the civil rights movement through the 1st- 35 years of Auggie Callahan's life. I have greater compassion for people of all races who are recipients of rascism...and especially for our own afro-american brothers and sisters. VERY WELL WRITTEN.

I loved this book. The story is about one of the most kind hearted men I have ever known. Arthur Trylove. And his adopting Maddie. And his neighbor and friend, Lucille. It made ne laugh a lot...and cry at the end.
