Wish these movies!
Revisado: 03-09-15
There are two movies, Rosalind Russell is very close. But Angela Lansbury merges too many of the books together. I've loved these books for years. I'm going thru again.

Historia
Lights! Camera! Murder! Trinket and the gang, beware! Hollywood descends on Holly Springs, and soon it’s up to the Divas to keep the stars from falling like magnolia blooms in a trailer-park tornado. Someone doesn’t want dark secrets under the holly to reach the big screen. He - or she - is willing to kill locals, movie stars, and maybe even Divas to stop it. Diva-sister Dixie Lee Forsythe wrote the juicy tell-all about a Mississippi town very much like Holly Springs, and a lot of townsfolk would be happy to strangle her.

Murder, mayhem & madness!
Revisado: 11-06-14
Where does Divas Do Tell rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best mystery series' I've listened to. No strong language to make you shudder; no sex scenes & no overly graphic details. I was so pleased with that; it shows you can have a great story & great characters w/o all the obscenities. I especially like the animals in every book. The animal & the people characters are so well developed. I can honestly say, sadly, that I probably know someone just like half the characters! Except for murders, my (late) cousin and I were just about as bad as Trinket & Bitty. Being from TN, so much in the stories rings true. I'm ready and waiting for the next one to come out! Thanks for a very enjoyable mystery series!
What did you like best about this story?
The animals and how they manipulate the humans. I can appreciate that; I have 3 criminals - I mean cats!
What does Karen Commins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She does a wonderful job with all the voices. And it appears to be the same through each book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"Empty your bladder before you hit play!"

Just Not My Kind Of Mystery
Revisado: 05-04-14
Would you ever listen to anything by Shirley Rousseau Murphy again?
Maybe, but it would have to be something out of this arena altogether.
Any additional comments?
It was just too creepy. Cats understanding us and vice versa is fine. But, when people turn into cats and the frequent in depth descriptions of what cats find wonderful about killing and eating other animals was just too much for me.

What do steeplechase, playing cards, and daggers have in common? They all play vital roles in the intricately woven plot of Sneaky Pie and her human cohort Rita Mae Brown in this delightful mystery. While Mary "Harry" Haristeen and her cat Mrs. Murphy attend the annual steeplechase at Montpelier, Mrs. Murphy discovers something amiss. During the celebration following the race, one of the jockeys is found dead in the barn, a dagger through his heart and the queen of clubs impaled by the dagger.

Animal Lover's Delight
Revisado: 01-08-09
I have read all of the "Mrs. Murphy" series and of course I was just as delighted with the Audible Books on my MP3. The only complaint I have with this book is the pronunciation of the city of Sevierville, TN. It is supposed to be pronounced like "severe weather"; "Severe-ville". I live about 150 miles from there; and I know Dolly Parton can pronounce Sevierville! In this audible version, it...well I don't know how to "spell" it. It was so comical, I played it for everyone in my family. And it was actually pronounced differently each time it was used in the reading. Kate Forbes does a wonderful job, maybe just a little more research would have done the trick.
