Fun listen. For me, it was like someone reading and commenting on Reddit stories and then offering a way not not be TA.

My 7 year old son loved it. He has a learning disability so any book that retains his attention is a benefit.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend all of R.A. Salvatore's books.I love R.A. Salvatore, his writing style, his characters and his story lines.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jarlaxle is hands down my favorite character in this series. I wish he was a bit more chaotic-neutral. Artemis Entreri plays a bit of a sad sack in this entire series, but it was nice to see into his past/upbringing.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator IS NOT Victor Bevine. Whomever narrates this book sounds like a 1950's action comics narrator. He gives the characters lives, but not the lives they have from the rest of the series. Entreri sounds like a foppish arristacrate vs. a street savy assassin. Athrogate sounds like a Scotty-pirate who grew up in Wisconsin! Although his bwah-ha-ha is better!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

sell sword meets sell out!

Any additional comments?

It is very unfortunate that the narrator had to follow (or came before) Victor Bevine. If you listened to the books up to this one (which you almost have to if you want to know what's going on) then you are taken aback by the differences in style, flow and character development. The story is good, the narrator is good in his own rights (especially if you listened to Superman in the 1950's), but it is difficult to get past the differences in the way the books "sound" up to now: and going forward. I think it would be work the time/money to have Mr. Bevine narrate this book to finish the set!
