Historia
Most Americans — and people worldwide — understand that despite our remarkable technological advances, something is deeply wrong with the direction of our country and world. There are a variety of causes but Mr. Lepard believes, and wrote this book because, too many are missing the one, principal underlying cause: The Money Is Broken.

No regrets
Revisado: 04-12-25
I have no regrets but it could have been a better experience. The first half of the book is a great overview but momentum suffered after that. The audio experience is poor. I am not sure a real person did the reading. The modulation is bad. It took away from the experience.

A radio program converted to a podcast
Revisado: 05-26-21
It’s an ok experience; I would just not pay for it again. It’s like the white noise radio program that is on in the background while you are doing other things...or at the doctor’s office. Content is shallow.
There’s plenty of fake news presented as fact while criticizing fake news. That’s an annoyance. The biggest challenge was some of the episodes were difficult to listen to-in particular if it was broadcasting through a Bluetooth speaker...better production required.
Overall, if it were just in the radio, I guess it would be ok.

A spectacular reading of a great story.
Revisado: 02-21-21
What a great story-it’s a documentary, a tragedy, it will make you angry, and shout hurray for the virtuous ones. Mr. Lewis wrote a spectacular book, but I have to hand it to Mr. Baker for a reading performance that brought the book to life in a manner that caused me to keep listening, practically unable to put it down. Well done, all!

Historia
In The Unicorn Project, we follow Maxine, a senior lead developer and architect, as she is exiled to the Phoenix Project, to the horror of her friends and colleagues, as punishment for contributing to a payroll outage. She tries to survive in what feels like a heartless and uncaring bureaucracy and to work within a system where no one can get anything done without endless committees, paperwork, and approvals. One day, she is approached by a ragtag bunch of misfits who say they want to overthrow the existing order, to liberate developers, to bring joy back to technology work.

A good, long teaching
Revisado: 08-23-20
Excellent material with some great ideas right in the story. Thank you!
It does take some effort to get through the content and to digest the principles but it is worth it.
The performance was easy to listen to and was easy to understand in a variety of formats/the recording was well produced.
The speaker was clear and easy to understand. My only complaint is by the end of the story the t-dropping really got on my nerves.
Overall, worth the investment of money, time, and effort.
Well done!

Historia
This program teaches that there is one thing that is common to every individual, relationship, team, family, organization, nation, economy, and civilization--one thing which, if removed, will destroy the most powerful government, the most successful business, the most thriving economy, the most influential leadership, the greatest friendship, the strongest character, the deepest love. That one thing is Trust.

It's good, but it is a recording of a seminar. I would be up for the entire book on audio.

Starts out great with facts and reasoning. Then turns into a social and political diatribe on how everyone else needs to change. To finish was a death march, but I did.

Historia
The digital age we live in is as transformative as the Industrial Revolution, and Joshua Cooper Ramo explains how to survive. If you find yourself longing for a disconnected world where information is not always at your fingertips, you may eventually be as useful as the carriage maker post-Henry Ford. It's practically impossible to know where the marriage of imagination and technology will take us (sorry, Betamax and Kodak), and the only certainty is that in the networked world we will only become more intertwined.

Worth the listen
Revisado: 08-03-16
Joshua Ramo is an expert at using thousands of words to describe a ten word concept. Still, an interesting listen with many concepts worth pondering.
