Historia
From the outside, there was no reason to suspect the family life of young schoolchild Keri was anything but unremarkable. Two loving parents, a backdrop of 1960s Britain; life had provided for her, at least with the riches of modesty. Keri herself however, would often confound teachers with her erratic behaviour, which was at best sullen and withdrawn; at worst violently disruptive. When challenged, she would only exacerbate her growing reputation as a fantasist; weaving terrible tales about the "abuse" she was suffering at the hands of her very creators.

This book is so good and so disturbing at the same time. That any mother could treat their child this way is utterly disgusting! This child suffered so much, yet tried so hard just to feel love. It made me want to hug my children so tight...I'm already on book 3 and I'm at the point where Nana is working every single nerve of mine. NOBODY is that blind. "Oh, Keri, Keri, Keri.... I mean she literally had noone!

Ok book, but not a thriller
Revisado: 06-09-20
This book started off really slow, but I stuck with it.It doesn't pick up until around chapter 35-ish. I won't return it because the narration was really good and I did finish the book but it was not my favorite.

Every Couple Should Listen. Eye Opener.
Revisado: 05-12-20
This book was really good from start to finish. Without giving away too much information, I have to say that every couple disfunctional or not should listen to this book. For me, it showed how, and why you should be considerate of your spouses feelings and position in the family. Whether you are the one working or the one that stays home with the children. It also shows how some people don't appreciate what they have until it's gone. It makes you think about if you have been your best self towards the people that you love. Eye opener for sure.

The book was just okay. It didn't really have any aha moments or real suspense/thriller vibes. I actually had to start over at least 6 times because it didn't keep me interested. Could have been better.

Revisado: 03-24-20
This is the best book that I've read (listened to) in a long while. I really hate to return books but sometimes I have no choice because they are that terrible. But this one was excellent from start to finish. I love other Minka Kent books as well. Psychological thriller at it's best. The narration was great and the story was too. I finished this book in two days. It would have been one day but I got distracted by all the coronavisus stuff going on. I definitely recommend this book!

It’s been said that you can’t love two men at the same time. You can’t split your heart, soul, and body in half. But I’m here to tell you, you can. Dylan Cole is like ice, sharp and unpredictable, the thunder inside a tumultuous storm. Smith Reid is warmth, soft and gentle, perfect like a sunny day. Both are mine. But I can have only one. There are two sides to this tale. I'm here to tell you mine. If you think this story is about a cheater, you couldn’t be more wrong.

Revisado: 09-30-19
This has got to be one of the best books I've ever read, right down to the very last sentence. I thought I had it figured out but in no way was I expecting the ending. The narrators were excellent and it moved at steady pace. I'm glad I chose this book because I usually go for longer length books since I listen so much, but I took a chance on this one and I am not sorry...MUST LISTEN
