Same Old Stuff
Revisado: 08-25-15
Nothing new to see here. Move along. She rehashes old ideas. Nifty title, but very limited in scope.

The world’s most trusted guide for leaders in transition. Transitions are a critical time for leaders. In fact, most agree that moving into a new role is the biggest challenge a manager will face. While transitions offer a chance to start fresh and make needed changes in an organization, they also place leaders in a position of acute vulnerability. Missteps made during the crucial first three months in a new role can jeopardize or even derail your success.

Master of Obvious
Revisado: 05-30-15
Michael uses elevated language and labels to make claim for rather simple ideas. It is too "Harvardized". The biggest frustration is that the author failed to update the accompanying pdf document. Table and figures are not aligned with the updated text. This book is of less practical use than its bolstered reputation.

80-20 Rule applies
Revisado: 04-28-15
The book follows its own description of most products: 80% of the usefulness is in 20% of the features. This book is 80% or more fluff and the author patting himself on the back. The most useful 45 seconds in this book is the quote from Teddy Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena" passage from his "Citizenship in a Republic" speech. Save yourself a buck and lots of time and Google the passage. The reader is related to the author and has great enthusiasm, but the content is shallow.
