They lost me when the author recommended euthanizing a dog for unwanted aggressive behavior. Coming from a dog owner, I would never do this. I would go through every training program possible before putting a dog down due to a behavior change when their environment has changed. Just like people adjusting to new environment sometimes it requires work to achieve a new level of comfort. I would never recommend this book to any dog owner expecting a new child. We work to build a family and we work to keep a family and that means our dogs.

Historia
In a Tokyo suburb, a young man named Toru Okada searches for his wife’s missing cat—and then for his wife as well—in a netherworld beneath the city’s placid surface. As these searches intersect, he encounters a bizarre group of allies and antagonists. Gripping, prophetic, and suffused with comedy and menace, this is one of Haruki Murakami’s most acclaimed and beloved novels.

A Little Much

I’m going to be honest, by the time this book was over I just sat and thought wtf did I just listen too. There were a lot of good story bits, but as a collection I was left a little confused.
And no offense to the reader, but some of the character voices were so obnoxious I wanted to turn it off.
