Historia
DisneyWar is an enthralling tale of one of America's most powerful media and entertainment companies, the people who control it, and those trying to overthrow them. It tells a story that - in its sudden twists, vivid, larger-than-life characters, and thrilling climax - might itself have been the subject of a Disney classic - except that it's all true.

Amazing behind the scenes look
Revisado: 10-19-20
Really enjoyed this look into the career of Michael Eisner at Disney. Very enjoyable listen and kept my attention with its narrative style presentation. Only gripe I have is that it ended too soon! Would have enjoyed hearing a little more on the subject and the passing of the torch 😁

Historia
Captain Jackson Wolfe never thought he'd see the end of the Phage War in his lifetime. The enemy was too powerful, too numerous, and utterly determined to exterminate humanity. But the appearance of a new ally in the fight has changed all of that. For the first time since the original incursion, Wolfe thinks that maybe there's a chance to stop their implacable enemy before they have the chance to wipe out any more human planets.

Under-whelming
Revisado: 04-02-18
The story premise felt like it had promise, but I feel like the author failed to deliver. What could've been a very interesting tale of interstellar warfare felt like it was dealt with in a half hearted manner. Not enough time taken to elaborate. Battles that were described as taking hours gave me no sense that they actually took that long, they felt like they took a handful of minutes. Disappointed, and will not listen to again

Historia
In August of 1914, the British ship Endurance set sail for the South Atlantic. In October 1915, still half a continent away from its intended base, the ship was trapped, then crushed in the ice. For five months, Sir Ernest Shackleton and his men, drifting on ice packs, were castaways in one of the most savage regions of the world. Lansing describes how the men survived a 1,000-mile voyage in an open boat across the stormiest ocean on the globe and an overland trek through forbidding glaciers and mountains.

Incredible tale of dangers and men who overcame it
Revisado: 11-13-17
This isn't a book I would normally have gotten. I prefer fiction, because I love stories. Especially stories of epic adventure. Imagine my surprise, when that's exactly what I got from this true life tale of a failed expedition to cross the Antarctic continent. As I listen, I cannot imagine having had to go through these things, and can't imagine how they survived them! The narrator does a wonderful job of reading the book, and differentiating for different voices. If you like adventure, history or both, this might be a good choice for you! Great story badly narrated
Revisado: 09-06-16
I have this story in print and was eager to hear the audio book, as it's one of my favorites. It is a very well told story, with an interesting twist on history and the Bible. A great "what if" story. However, the narrator was almost painful to listen to. He has a very gravelly voice, and it didn't feel like he was putting much effort into giving the story life. I hope that a better production will be made available. If so I will definitely get it!

Great story, annoying accents
Revisado: 04-27-16
A very well-written story from a great storyteller. The narrator was somewhat irritating. For the most part he was great, his normal voice was pleasant to the ear, his Russian and British accents were fine, but when he would try to do different voices for Americans, it seems like the only accents he could do were American hick and deep southern twang.
