Laugh out loud and endearing throughout!

This story has my heart and the narrator is perfection! It is such a unique tale with a great group of characters that form an unlikely found family all while everyone is under suspicion for murder. Highly recommend!

I listened twice-excellent

I liked it the first time and loved it the second time. His writing style is very unique and the story spans decades but he keeps you hooked. Each character is so layered and complex that it is hard to believe they are fictional. I cried and laughed and smiled and cringed. The narrator is fantastic too!

Loved it! Great stories, fantastic cast, and incredible background soundtrack/sound effects. If you like Hallmark Christmas movies and Murder She Wrote you are in for a treat. Merry Christmas!

Wanted to love it

Loved the premise but the narrative fell apart for me with the dialogue. One example-“Sweetheart” was overused and felt very out of place every time I heard it.

Unexpected

I have read a few of her books and have always had a very powerful response to her writing. She has always managed to make me cry and I thought I was in the clear with this one. I was wrong. Jodi always entertains but she also does a remarkable job of informing. This book primarily takes place during Elizabethan times and I was impressed by the voice she used in those chapters-it must have been so challenging to write. Definitely recommend! Enjoy!

The quality of this Audible original is top notch! The stories are a bit predictable and can be a little thin in some areas but it was a fun and easy listen while wrapping gifts and getting stuff ready for Christmas. I was a little bummed they didn’t get Drew Scott back for this second season. Definitely worth a listen in my opinion.

Better than any movie!

The performance is incredible! It has the sounds of the train, different voices for each member of the cast, and a great story to boot. This is one of my favorite audiobooks of all time. I have listened to it multiple times over the years.

Loved the story-so unique and engrossing. The characters were incredibly well developed. I am not a gamer but did grow up playing Mario and appreciated the nostalgia. When the games progressed over time it got more technical but never over my head.
