Historia
An activist attorney is killed in a cute little L.A. trolley called Angels Flight, far from Harry Bosch's Hollywood turf. But the case is so explosive - and the dead man's enemies inside the L.A.P.D. are so numerous - that it falls to Harry to solve it. Now the streets are superheating. Harry's year-old Vegas marriage is unraveling. And the hunt for a killer is leading Harry to another high-profile L.A. murder case, one where every cop had a motive. The question is, did any have the guts?

Dick hill was way better

Good story, but the previous narrator was way better, his acting in book 4 was amazing and I still remember it.

Historia
In the first book to critically assess the major consequences of space activities from their origins in the 1940s to the present and beyond, Daniel Deudney argues in Dark Skies that the major result of the "Space Age" has been to increase the likelihood of global nuclear war, a fact conveniently obscured by the failure of recognize that nuclear-armed ballistic missiles are inherently space weapons.

While the prose can be a bit stilted, the arguments here are fascinating, novel, and incredibly well argued.

Historia
The fall of the Roman Empire has long been considered one of the greatest disasters in history. But in this groundbreaking book, Walter Scheidel argues that Rome's dramatic collapse was actually the best thing that ever happened, clearing the path for Europe's economic rise and the creation of the modern age. Ranging across the entire premodern world, Escape from Rome offers new answers to some of the biggest questions in history: Why did the Roman Empire appear? Why did nothing like it ever return to Europe? And, above all, why did Europeans come to dominate the world?

Have you ever slathered mustard on a hotdog and thought, "Wow, I sure hope the company that made this condiment isn't a corrupt tech startup run by a CEO who is a tyrannical chauvinist!" Well, you're about to.

This is a quality piece of satire that does a really good job commenting on the absurdity of the modern corporate world! Looking forward to more from this author!

Great book, gets better as it goes
Revisado: 04-30-18
It’s a very good, thoughtful book about the concepts of humanity, first contact, and time, highly recommended, and definitely try to make it through the first couple chapters before you judge, as I disliked the first chapter quite a bit before liking the rest of the book quite a bit.
