Historia
Hardly a day goes by when nine-year-old Laurent Lepage doesn't cry wolf. From alien invasions to walking trees to winged beasts in the woods to dinosaurs spotted in the village of Three Pines, his tales are so extraordinary no one can possibly believe him. Including Armand and Reine-Marie Gamache, who now live in the little Quebec village.

love the new narrator as a screen actor, but not reading. I couldnt tell who was talking and he changed voices sometimes. he had a lot of problems with Ruth. i understand story was based in fact, but had no substance; it was quite boring.

Historia
Newly returned from investigating a murder in Monkslip-super-Mare, former M15 agent Max Tudor wants nothing more than to settle back into his predictable routine as vicar of St. Edwold's Church in the village of Nether Monkslip. But the flow of his sermon on Bathsheba is interrupted when Lady Duxter is found dead after having made a suicide pact with her lover. Lady Duxter's husband rallies quickly from the double tragedy - too quickly, it is murmured in the village. Having already planned a writer's retreat at his manor house, he insists the show must go on.

given the stature of dr. ornish in his previous writings I found this book under par. plus the narration especially those sections by mrs. ornish was very annoying she sounds like she's trying to be a sex kitten it might be her real voice but it just was too ridiculous to have any faith in what she was saying.

Welcome to the Misfit Mob... It's where Police Scotland dumps the officers it can't get rid of but wants to: the outcasts, the troublemakers, the compromised. Officers like DC Callum MacGregor, lumbered with all the boring go-nowhere cases. So when an ancient mummy turns up at the Oldcastle tip, it's his job to find out which museum it's been stolen from. But then Callum uncovers links between his ancient corpse and three missing young men, and life starts to get a lot more interesting.

Historia
In an industry where celebrity chefs are known as much for their salty talk and quick tempers as their food, Eric Ripert stands out. The winner of four James Beard Awards, co-owner and chef of a world-renowned restaurant, and recipient of countless Michelin stars, Ripert embodies elegance and culinary perfection. But before the accolades, before he even knew how to make a proper hollandaise sauce, Eric Ripert was a lonely young boy in the south of France whose life was falling apart.

disappointing
Revisado: 09-10-16
I understand why the book ends just as Eric departs for America, but I felt like the several hours spent hadn't gotten me anywhere. Obviously one comes away feeling Eric had several emtional upheavals in his early life and had some real douzies for mentors, but the book doesn't go on to tell you how he took his early life to shape what he is today. It's a cliff hanger, but I doubt I'll plunk money down to listen to the sequel.

Historia
Legendary magician Penn Jillette was approaching his 60th birthday. Topping 330 pounds and saddled with a systolic blood pressure reading over 200, he knew he was at a dangerous crossroads: If he wanted to see his small children grow up, he needed to change. And then came Crazy Ray. A former NASA scientist and an unconventional, passionate innovator, Ray Cronise saved Jillette's life with his wild "potato diet". Outspoken, frank, and bitingly clever, Presto is an incisive, rollicking listen.

okay, not great
Revisado: 07-13-16
I m sure this book and their movie, that i haven't seen, were great projects for them. While I ended with a lot of respect for Emilio, esp as I didnt know the breadth of his work, I didnt know Martin was such a jerk. and, i dont teally mean jerk, perhaps artogant oddball. i found myself wanting to fast forward thru his sections. sometimes its not good to know more about celebrities!
