Historia
It is the summer of 2013, and Abigail Kamara has been left to her own devices. This might, by those who know her, be considered a mistake. While her cousin, police constable and apprentice wizard Peter Grant, is off in the sticks chasing unicorns, Abigail is chasing her own mystery. Teenagers around Hampstead Heath have been going missing, but before the police can get fully engaged, the teens return home - unharmed but vague about where they've been.

Loved it!

Great characters and some quotables! It must be real as it’s too boring for fiction.

Historia
In 1972, when workers in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, were digging the foundations for a new development, the last thing they expected to find was a skeleton at the bottom of a well. Who the skeleton was and how it got there were two of the long-held secrets kept by the residents of Chicken Hill, the dilapidated neighborhood where immigrant Jews and African Americans lived side by side and shared ambitions and sorrows. Chicken Hill was where Moshe and Chona Ludlow lived when Moshe integrated his theater and where Chona ran the Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.

Harsh realities you can feel, woven through lives that are not without laughter, and an extremely satisfying end. Balled my eyes out.

Such a lyrical illustration
Revisado: 07-05-17
While episode 1 was a bit of a challenge to listen to, this one was pure enlightenment and pleasure, if sometimes painful pleasure. I am a heterosexual mom with adult kids, and we had a decade of au pairs when kids were young, yet I had little idea of my own needs or desires before kids and absolutely none, zip, zilch after!
I read MIC in 2012 and again recently. It made a lot more sense this time, and this podcast is an excellent illustration of many points from that book.
THANK YOU to the women who shared in this episode.

Enlightening
Revisado: 06-14-15
This is a beautiful story crafted with love and care. It taught me things I did not know and it was so entertaining I could not put it down. Great novels do that, showing us how to love characters we would automatically shun in real life, so that when we next meet someone similar, we will think twice before passing simplistic judgement.
