Interesting Look at a Killer

Very thorough and interesting. the writing for most of it was clear and concise. captured a creepy personality perfectly. would have been 5 stars but felt the last hour lost that clear direct narrative that made the rest of the story so captivating.

ending saved story

The ending saved this book. I couldnt believe a smart women would give in so easily. it just wasnt believable. once she started fighting back the book finally became interesting.

not a believable main character

I thought at times this was a fun concept but I just couldnt warm to the main character. The idea that Sarah would leave her family without a fight and act like she is better than them, even allowing them to now serve her just made my stomach turn. And yet you are supposed to support her over her sister Mary? And believe that Sarah has an impeccable character? It was just to big of a thing to overlook and made the main character unbelievable to me.

Really enjoyed this. I wasnt sure until the end who the real villain and victim were.And once the villain is revealed her true creepiness comes fully out.
It is always a pleasant experience when a book manages to surprise you and this one did. Would for sure recommend.
