Historia
Steve Wheeler is enjoying retired life in the New Forest. He does the odd bit of investigation work, but he likes his familiar habits and routines. His days of adventure are over: adrenaline is daughter-in-law Amy’s business now. Amy Wheeler thinks adrenaline is good for the soul: she doesn’t stay still long enough for a habit or routine. She’s currently on a private island keeping world-famous author Rosie D’Antonio alive. Which was meant to be an easy job. Then a dead body, a bag of money, and a killer with their sights on Amy mean an end to Steve’s quiet life.

Historia
Copenhagen author Hannah is the darling of the literary community and her novels have achieved massive critical acclaim. But nobody actually reads them, and frustrated by writer's block, Hannah has the feeling that she's doing something wrong. When she expresses her contempt for genre fiction, Hanna is publicly challenged to write a crime novel in 30 days. Scared that she will lose face, she accepts, and her editor sends her to Húsafjöður; a quiet, tight-knit village in Iceland, filled with colourful local characters - for inspiration.

Interesting story and setting
Revisado: 04-09-24
Witty and unexpected storyline that still had me right to the end. The MC was unusual and good to see a more interesting group of characters

Great pace, strong characters and good story-telling
Revisado: 04-01-24
I really liked the way the writer has told a tough story using a v strong woman character, turning the victimisation of women a little on its head - without minimising it.
Fast-paced and v well read by Sasha Horler - couldn’t stop listening!

Historia
A young woman accompanies her mother on a holiday in Japan. The daughter has arranged their itinerary. They travel by train, visit galleries and churches chosen for their art and architecture, eat together in small cafés and restaurants and walk along the canals at night, on guard against the autumn rain and the prospect of snow. All the while, they talk, or seem to talk: about the weather, horoscopes, clothes and objects; about the mother’s family in Hong Kong and the daughter’s allegiances in Australia. But uncertainties abound.

Soft, moving
Revisado: 02-05-23
Slow and moving story.
Unfortunately - and unusually for Bolinda - the read is not v good. often words mispronounced, (emphasis on syllables); a character’s name often pronounced slightly differently and the pace is not really varied or changing. It was so monotonous and lacking in nuance that I thought it was computer-read… it is hard to think that a Director /Producer listened to this final production and thought it was good enough to release.

Historia
The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.
