Historia
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

This is such an enjoyable series. It's easily one of the best litrpg series out there, and this book carries on that quality story and voice acting we've all come to expect and enjoy.

good conclusion to a good series
Revisado: 03-08-25
I have to say this series was a pleasant surprise. It was refreshingly original, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. I was a bit slow on this one and didn't predict the ending till about 5 or 6 chapters from the end, but that's great. usually it doesn't take as long. Definitely give it a listen, you won't regret it

Historia
In the wake of a devastating attack, an amnesty has been declared for all Augurs - finally allowing them to emerge from hiding and openly oppose the dark forces massing against the land of Andarra. As the Augur Davian and his new allies hurry north toward the ever-weakening Boundary, however, fresh horrors along their path suggest that their reprieve may have come far too late. His ally in the Capital, the new Northwarden, contends with assassins and politicians and uncovers a dangerous political secret.

Revisado: 02-09-25
I bought this on a whim, because it was on sale. Have to say, I'm sure glad I did. The story is very well written, Original, and difficult to predict. I will be following Islington's work. Kramer's narration is superb as well. Definitely give this series a listen.

Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Historia
When Rozakajin, road-weary bandit and army deserter, spots a hapless blond young man in a country inn with an intriguing treasure map, he thinks he’s scouted an easy and lucrative victim. Attaching himself to odd traveler Penric seems simple enough, but when Roz’s old enemies catch up from behind, his plans take a turn for the much worse. When Pen’s claim that I never travel alone proves true in ways Roz never imagined, his world becomes more frightening still—but also much wider than he’d ever dared to dream.

Another good Pen and Des
Revisado: 01-11-25
If you've enjoyed these novellas up to this point, you'll enjoy this one too. My only complaint would be with the entire series as a whole, in that all of the books with the exception of one are short novellas. I really wish she'd write more full length novels in this series. Their very shortness makes them hard to justify the credits, and I find myself only buying them on significant sales.

Historia
When Drizzt Do’Urden first entered Icewind Dale in 1347, he found a place quite unlike anywhere he had ever known, a land of freezing winds and ferocious monsters, of dramatic vistas and unrelenting challenges. Most of all, though, he found a land populated by folk who knew all too well the price of a misstep, whether walking into a yeti den or trusting a stranger. Making his way in those early days was no easy task, but Drizzt would find focus and joy in watching the antics of a girl and a bunch of dwarfs trying to keep her from getting herself killed.

Nice novella about Drizzts Daughter
Revisado: 01-08-25
This seems to mostly be a short novella reflecting on some of Drizzts early days in icewindale and a much later caravan of the companions to Icewindale where Drizzt brings his daughter Breezy to the north to experience where they all got their start

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Have to say the sex scenes make me roll my eyes and wish for them to be over, but the overall story is pretty good. This series so far reminds me a bit of "Priory of the Orange Tree".

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Historia
The war is tearing our world apart. Instead of big armies with tanks in the field, the Vampire War is fought in the streets, neighbor against neighbor, family against family. Anyone can turn at any time. The blood hunger can suddenly appear in the middle of a kiss. The person who sleeps next to you every night could wake up in the dead of night... hungry. So hungry.
