Historia
Thirteen-year-old Suzie Sarnio always believed the Grim Reaper was a fairy tale image of a skeleton with a scythe. Now, forced to enter the College of Deaths, she finds herself training to bring souls from the Living World to the Hereafter. The task is demanding enough, but as the only female in the all-male College, she quickly becomes a target. Attacked by both classmates and strangers, Suzie is alone in a world where even her teachers want her to fail.

The adventure of a Death-time.

I really liked this book and wasn't sure when I began... I was worried it would be another kind of Harry Potter/Hunger Games knock-off...but it's got great characters and some really interesting world building. Susie is whisked away from her high-school existence to the School of Deaths - the first female to be chosen in memory. The voicing is excellent - the narrator does a great job creating a credible female lead without resorting to cliche and the other voices are clear and really well performed. It's a theatrical reading that has a lot of energy and brings out the magic and mystery of the world. Imagine Harry Potter meets Dead Like Me and you're on the right track. I was impressed, cared about the characters and look forward to book two.

A sexy, smart tale fit for a King.
Revisado: 08-01-15
A surprising delight. Sarah Luddington has taken all the latent sexy qualities of the Camelot legend and bumped them up with amazing results. The story is told from Lancelot's point of view, which I loved. The character is dark, dangerous and very, very sexy. The character relationships are complex and lay the foundation work for what could be a very exciting epic saga. Lance has amorous adventures with women while trying to escape a life-long forbidden obsession with Arthur. The writing is sensual, exciting and while there are great steamy moments - the storytelling and character development is what leaves the reader hungry for more. If you're turned off by m/m romance then this isn't the Camelot for you - but for readers like me, it's got Merlin's magic touch. The narration is excellent - he provides clear, strong characterizations with humor and right touch of wry wit.
