I am so disappointed!

I really LOVED the Cake Series and was thrilled when J. Bengtsson wrote a new book, but this is one is really bad. Where the Cake series took on tough subjects in heartfelt way, Like The Wind never got deep enough to engage me in the story line, which was adolescent and insufferable. The dialogue was not funny and the characters were not likable. Callie Dalton was NOT a good choice for the female narration...too much valley girl, with a perpetual whine. I hope that J. Bengtsson can bounce back from this.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend the book, but I'm less sure about the audiobook. The voice of the narrator was really tough for me to listen to.
What did you like best about this story?
The mother/daughter relationship, with all of its ups and downs, was compelling. The men in their lives were absolutely perfect for both women.
What didn’t you like about Amy Rubinate’s performance?
It was too "valley girl" for me...particularly when doing Jamie.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
