He is trapped in a loveless marriage and his job is simply a paycheck. But his life changes forever as he drives along the Normandy coast, heading to their lavish château for the weekend. Not Danielle's Finest
Revisado: 01-15-23
Danielle Steele is my favorite author, and had this book been written by anyone else, I probably would have given it another star. it's just not the quality we've come to expect from her. it seemed to gloss over so many of the details that Danielle is so good at including. It almost seemed a bit "preachy" at times, too. Not a bad book, just not a great one.

Robespierre is a very down-to-earth guy who puts forward simple principles that can be adapted to be very powerful in whatever you use them for. The book starts out quickly and keeps you engaged and digs deep leaving you with incredible energy!

Historia
On a June day, a young woman in a summer dress steps off a Chicago-bound bus into a small Midwestern town. She doesn't intend to stay. She is just passing through. Yet her stopping here has a reason and it is part of a story that you will never forget. he time is the 1950s, when life was simpler, people still believed in dreams, and family was - very nearly - everything. The place is a small Midwestern town with a high school and a downtown, a skating pond and a movie house.

Couldn't get into it....
Revisado: 11-05-12
What disappointed you about Phantom?
I just had a very hard time getting into it. I listened for about 2 hours, but I never seemed to get involved. I listen on several devices, and sometimes they didn't sync up and I'd listen for about 10 minutes where I thought I was, and suddenly I'd realize I'd already heard that part. Obviously I wasn't involved if I didn't even remember hearing parts of the story.
Would you ever listen to anything by Jo Nesbø again?
I wouldn't say never, but I won't go looking their work again.
What didn’t you like about Robin Sachs’s performance?
I guess, judging by my above comments, it just wasn't very engaging.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I've heard a lot of good things about the book, it just didn't seem to fit my style.
