although the story does not delve into the history of Eleanor, it is clear that she's not what she seems. I spent much of my listen waiting for things to turn horrific in some way. In the end, it came down to not all monsters go bump in the night. Some just want to live their life and die happy.

I finished the story just to say I did. It was kinda frustrating that the person who should've been given a voice so far (chpt 22) hasn't had the chance. Otherwise, the drama is typical of chaotic person.

not bad but not great either

I didn't like where the story went because the main character essentially put themself in the same situation twice. Given all the backstory, wasn't expecting it to be so.... action lacking??? The best way I can describe. Guess that's why there's more to the series though

It seems to be a great story but, the narration killed it for me. Had this been like other audiobooks where the characters are role played it would've worked well. However, this one narrator doing all the characters made it a long listen. It was a free listen on the condition that I make a review. I do look forward to more from this author. More technology in the future but mankind is very much the same.

I wasn't expecting it to just end like that. Probably because I related to what was happening and how she felt. Not what I was expecting but work the listen regardless.

I'm not sure if it's my device or the narrator but there were times it seemed to struggle through the readings. Regardless, I enjoyed this story and the twists. I would/have recommended it to a friend.

I think this contains more plots happening at once. There's less going on with main characters but much in New characters. I enjoy the series and this book but might have to listen again to see if I got lost somewhere in the middle. probably doesn't help that I didn't go back to the first two before listening to this. It's been a long wait

Didn't think I'd like it this much. Lots of plot twists some of which were predictable. I didn't really get the ending but maybe I missed something.

What made the experience of listening to Closer Than You Think the most enjoyable?

It kept me trapped hoping there was gonna be this huge plot twist at multiple spots in the story plot.

What about Hillary Huber’s performance did you like?

She is very good at the narration. Even with all the characters taking part in the story, she manages to personalize each one.

Any additional comments?

I think there were a couple of loose ends in some the characters purposes, there was room for much more to happen, and at times it felt as though some of things were repetitive/cheesy. However, I truly enjoyed the story as is. Give it a listen. It's like a cat and mouse chase that gets real gritty, even throwing in a couple specks of love.
