Revisado: 02-09-20

Even if you don't read much noir, The Weird Sisters of Wynter's Hill is a well-written, compelling story that gets the reader's gears going as they join Jim Malhaven in getting to the bottom of a local legend.

Everything about Helen Whistberry's story is lovingly crafted, making for an immensely enjoyable addition to the mystery and noir genres. Go read it, or listen to the well-done audiobook!

Wilders takes place in a world that seems familiar, but it quickly becomes evident how radically different it is. Mystery, action, suspense, adventure, and even romance can be found in this story of a young girl dealing with a terrifying new reality.

Author Cass Kim brings her world to life with ease, confidence, and a voice all her own. The action sequences are particularly pulse-pounding, and one feels that they are right there with the main character, Renna, fighting to survive. Best of all, Wilders tells a compelling story while leaving the reader wanting more.
