FANTASTIC HIGH BROW MODERN FANTASY

Scott Sigler is... for all intent and purposes, a modern day bard. his story telling abilities are second to none. His chops run the gamut, from futuristic space/sports sci-fi, genetic mutation sci-fi, straight monster horror, and now high fantasy meets seedy, dangerous high stakes underbelly stuff.
The man in Gray is a fantastic character, full of depth, and the supporting characters are excellent. Sigler's narrative abilities are showcased once again as well, with each character having a unique voice. He's just fantastic. I can't wait for the rest of this series!

J wrote out a fantastic story here, from beginning to end. the characters were engaging, the storyline keeps you guessing, the twists are unexpected! J also chose a wonderful narrator. his accents were excellent, and varied. You always knew who was talking, and accents were very fluid and synchronized throughout the story. This is going to be an epic series!

I don't normally do reviews, but danged if I'm going to leave this gem untouched. Bray does an immaculate reading, as always, and Smith delivers yet another amazing story. I cannot wait(even though I'm obviously going to) for the next iteration to come through. I only wish I had a time machine.

Scott Sigler is a masterful SciFi author, and his second delve into the Aliens universe is nothing short of amazing. The characters are intensely complex, yet simply driven and understandable. The reader instinctively feels the anger, frustration, terror and joy their favorite characters experience, in an emersive, beautiful world; beautiful yes, but also full of danger and secrets. Read this, and any other Sigler project you can get your hands on.
