Historia
Orphaned at a young age, Edith Stuyvesant Dresser claimed lineage from one of New York's best known families. She grew up in Newport and Paris, and her engagement and marriage to George Vanderbilt was one of the most watched events of Gilded Age society. But none of this prepared her to be mistress of Biltmore House. Before their marriage, the wealthy and bookish Vanderbilt had dedicated his life to creating a spectacular European-style estate on 125,000 acres of North Carolina wilderness.

Magical Biltmore & Inspiring Vanderbilt’s
Revisado: 05-31-18
My first encounter with Biltmore House was on trip with my grandmother. That was over 50 years ago and I’m still in love with this incredible home. I had no idea how kind and generous Mr & Mrs George Vanderbilt we’re. This book captures stories to warm the heart and call out our better nature.

Historia
The Antidote is a series of journeys among people who share a single, surprising way of thinking about life. What they have in common is a hunch about human psychology: that it’s our constant effort to eliminate the negative that causes us to feel so anxious, insecure, and unhappy. And that there is an alternative "negative path" to happiness and success that involves embracing the things we spend our lives trying to avoid.

Wonderful Philosophical Journey!
Revisado: 03-22-17
I've found myself reluctant to fully embrace positive thinking or stoicism. Frustrated with the sugary cheeriness of the one and the grim war like mentally of the other. What a fabulous guide through both ideologies with rich and transformative life application.
