Just ok storyline
Revisado: 04-09-25
Storyline was good enough to hold my interest. But the storyline did not need as many of the spicy sex details to convey the character’s relationship.
Female narrator was excellent in outing out the different voice parts. Male narrator almost no voice acting - not even for the lead male character. Very disappointing and made the audiobook jarring to listen to with the 2 vastly different narrators.

A beautiful love story
Revisado: 07-30-24
The 4 loves that CS Lewis describes in his work “The Four Loves” are incorporated into this sweet story. A slower paced story (but not boring) that allows good character development and the real complexities of life.

Thinking outside the box resulted in the best night of my life. Until I discover the man I spent it with is my new boss. Attending a secret party where clothes are optional wasn’t a life goal of mine. But when the exclusive invitation ends up in my mailbox by accident...well. Who wouldn't be curious? It's not like I'm going to do anything. The handsome stranger I meet has different plans. One glance across the crowded party and an hour later we're stretched out on silk. No names and no regrets. But I’d forgotten there’s always a price to pay for pleasure.

Story ok, Performance lackluster
Revisado: 03-03-24
Storyline itself was fine. The writing was mediocre but unfortunately the performance was underwhelming and actually did a disservice to the story itself. The actors didn’t differentiate character voices or voices for character’s thoughts vs their spoken words. It made it difficult to follow along.

Revisado: 11-23-23
Absolutely love these types of “live action” audiobooks. It’s a perfect clean rom-com. Nothing complex about the storyline which makes it perfect for car rides or doing household chores. An added bonus: the actors were delightful to listen to.

Sweet story about young love
Revisado: 08-25-23
After watching the series, I listened to the books. I much prefer the series which gives much more insight into each of the main characters through their unspoken facial expressions. The only exception is the main character, Belly. I much preferred the actress reading this book than watching her acting. I thought her performance in this book really brought Belly to life as a young person, without life experience to give her insights into her actions and decisions.
Overall as a story, it was a sweet story about young love, the turmoil experienced by the 3 main characters. Nothing deep about the story, nothing exceptional about the writing itself, but not a total waste of time either.

Good storyline and performance
Revisado: 02-08-23
I’ve enjoyed many of the books in this series. Nothing deep but better than watching Netflix. Storyline for Simone was intriguing and I liked the element of light suspense. I could have done without the explicit sex scenes (I ended up fast forwarding through them since they didn’t add anything to the story). The performance was good- I appreciated both narrators “acting” out the story with the voices in ways which made it easy to differentiate between different characters (even minor characters). Overall a good, entertaining book to keep me company on long drives.

Excellent content, narration not so much
Revisado: 02-01-23
This is a great book to read because the content is rich and helped me gain an deeper appreciation for the Mass. Unfortunately, the narrator sounded like a child reading out loud in class- mispronouncing basic words and Catholic terminology. In addition she was clearly reading words, not comprehending what was being said because it came out choppy and therefore required serious concentration and focus for this listener to understand what was trying to be communicated.
Read the book. Don’t listen to it.

And when Jenny is welcomed into a rather unusual book club, life seems to finally be getting more interesting. Instead of reading, the members pledge to complete individual challenges before Christmas.

Outstanding performance for an ok story
Revisado: 11-09-22
The narrator was amazing in her delivery. Her pacing, intonations and emotionally charged delivery really enhanced the storyline. As for the story itself, it was better than average with its entertaining moments and endearing quirky characters.

Disconnect between performers
Revisado: 10-22-22
Storyline was ok and overall performance was fine but the female voice for the male character didn’t match with the male performer’s voice/characterization. It made the overall listening experience bumpy.

You may think you already know this stuff... don’t be fooled
Revisado: 04-03-20
I’ve been a fan and follower of Jade Teta since 2013. I consider him to be one of my mentors but for whatever reason, I assumed that this book would be just like every other book on personal development and relationships. I’m glad that I was wrong.
Although I already know Jade’s story, having him share how he applied what this book teaches to his own life is what made this book really impactful. This book is practical, applicable and implementable.
Although I’ve known of Danny Coleman for the same amount of time, I didn’t know him and found his contribution to add a fresh (and different perspective) to relationships.
This is a quick & easy to read book. You will be grateful that you did.
