The storyline is decent but the narrator’s voice for Anakin made him sound like the biggest fboy. Padme’s voice made her sound far from the fearless leader and strong woman that she is…. I would very well believe that this Padme would die of sadness.

Let me start out by saying that I thoroughly admire Lorrie’s devotion and analytical thinking of Snape and the Harry Potter series as a whole. Several times she pointed out instances that really made me smack myself on the head for not realizing them before.

However, and I do mean this in the kindest way possible, there are times when (by either choice of words or theory or both) that I feel like she is trying too hard. Don’t get me wrong it is an interesting read. Also I do agree with some other reviews saying that it is very political. I did indeed get a lot out of this book, though I would be lying if I said I didn’t roll my eyes a couple of times.

Finally, the choice of narrator: Michelle is a great narrator however I don’t think she was the right choice for this book. Especially when she was doing the voice of Snape, I just couldn’t take her seriously. Again she has a good voice for a narrator, but for me I don’t think she was the best choice for this book.

That was basically my reaction when I found out this book was coming to audible. Khaytman’s book in regards to the enigmatic Dumbledore is by far one of my favorite “Wizarding World” analysis books (I also own the hardcover as well as the e-book 🤓

Irvin’s book is a most illuminating and intriguing book. I have high respect and admiration for all the work that he (and countless other Harry Potter scholars) did. While using the flat side of a silver dagger, they crush the words of the book and release all the juicy details that Jo had put into these books.

This book is also quite funny at some parts too. I don’t want to spoil anything, but one that always gets me to giggle is a mention of “Dumbledore dangling a carrot in front of Voldemort’s nonexistent nose.” 😌

I’ll leave this review by just saying that if you love Harry Potter and/or psychology/character analysis; you will most enjoy this book…. Especially since Augustus Rookwood will be reading it to you 😉
