This was OK
Revisado: 01-12-11
I enjoyed the narrator. Great story though some of the characters went no where. The court room drama was not very extensive. It could have had a huge impact on the suspense and drama. Still, very much worth getting and becoming involved. Real beaut series. Cheers.

Revisado: 08-16-10
I thought this was a good listen. Lucy Scott did a good narrated job. Though I think my wife would have enjoyed it more than I. I liked the characters, though I did feel some went missing at times. Would have been a good movie back in the romantic days. A book with romance, betrayal, brutality and compassion. It was relaxing. Particularly after some of the scary brutality of some of the medieval books I have been reading/listening to lately. Worth a look for sure.

This is the second book I have enjoyed by Bernard Cornwell. The first I read , the Burning Land I listen to on my iPod. It was a great listen. Excellent narration by Stephen Perring. Very dramatic, fast, and characters easy identifiable. The brutality of that time well and truly realised. Superbly written.

Which makes Monk’s efforts doubly difficult, since he’s forgotten his professional skills along with everything else.

Seems I will have to purchase the following books. This was a very easy listen. The characters identifiable, however no feeling of attachment. I felt lost at times. Though I did fall asleep on a few occasions. This is worth the purchase by all means. I will follow Anne Perry,s Monk.
