Historia
Mike Majlak was a 17-year-old from a loving middle-class family in Milford, Connecticut, when he got caught up in the opioid epidemic that swept the nation. For close to a decade thereafter, his life was a wasteland of darkness and despair. While his peers were graduating from college, buying homes, getting married, having kids, and leading normal lives, Mike was snorting Oxycontin, climbing out of cars at gunpoint, and burying his childhood friends.

Historia
For just over a decade, James Watson and Eddie Bravo were inseparable: musical partners, work colleagues, roommates, and best friends. From metal to rap, our protagonists worked to master the art of music together. Through the story of these past experiences in the pursuit of musical mastery, the listener will get to intimately understand Eddie Bravo and see how those experiences in his youth spent in music made him the man and martial artist he is today.

I was looking forward to this as a new 10p student but it missed the mark
Revisado: 05-25-23
So came into this looking forward to learning about the 10th planet family tree and the history of how 10p came to be. I knew I wasn’t going to get much considering the title of the book. But I mean the amount of COVID talk vs actual story beats was a lot. Don’t get me wrong I fully understood that COVID had a big impact in this story but what i thought only needed a few paragraphs in a chapter ended up being a good amount of back tracking to talk about COVID every other chapter in seemed like. I do hope Eddie does a book going more in detail about 10p history and more in his life story. All and all I couldn’t give the book more then 3 stars

Not really helpful
Revisado: 04-22-21
I don’t normally write reviews but I felt like I needed to this book bit off a lot more then it could chew with the title and in the short amount of time. It’s also bad taste to ask a audio book listener to go somewhere else for information then return to this book. Overall I’d recommend you bypass this book and read a different story telling book.

Historia
After decades of research, world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck discovered a simple but groundbreaking idea: the power of mindset. In this brilliant book, she describes how success in school, work, sports, the arts, and almost every area of human endeavor can be dramatically influenced by how we think about our talents and abilities. In this edition, Dweck offers new insights into her now famous and broadly embraced concept. She introduces a phenomenon she calls false growth mindset and guides people toward adopting a deeper, truer growth mindset.

The book I was looking for
Revisado: 07-05-20
So I’ll start by saying this I’ve listens to nearly 9 self help or motivate or “game changing” books this year. All of them seemed like copy paste books from think and Grow Rich. Yes that was one of the books I read as well. Now they all paint a picture of what the mental change should be but not how to apply or even begin the change. The other books just do it. This one kinda paints the road map on how to do it. I highly recommend this book for the lost soul seeking change for the better.
