As always, Walter Isaacson produces another beautiful biography complete with all the strengths and imperfections of the human mind and the life it curates. This book is an edgy rendition in words of Elon Musk as the world's protagonist and at times, shameless disruptor. The juxtaposition of brilliance and impulsiveness offers a beauty rarely seen in biographies, one that showcases the truth that one's greatest strength is quite often the greatest challenge to manage. The lessons recanted in this book aligned with a vast journey of learning by trial and error required for true with innovation. Akin to scientists like Madame Curie, Nikola Tesla, and other greats, the book shows Musk's drive to seek first hand evidence of the properties of the universe giving risk the back seat and leading through data; diving even deeper into the people and organizational dynamics that allow rapid innovation to manifest. What a joy to read and hear. Thank you for this glimpse into one of the most significant individuals of our century.

This book came off as very authentic. Rosenberg gets to the heart of our emotional, cultural, and behavioral reactions to communication. he offer steps to approach yourself and others with truth and honesty starting with the spark inside each of us that makes us alive and the needs that are not being met to fulfill that spark. I recommend this book to any seeking to improve the way you communicate with others to find better outcomes.

both passive and aggressive violence are addressed in this book. well I seek to live my life with openness and understanding and truth, Rosenberg has opened my eyes too responses and behaviors I was unaware of. if you seek to improve the conversations and outcomes you have with your others, this book is an excellent resource. if you do read or listen to this book, be sure to do so for all of it. The final chapters are a wonderful encapsulation of how to approach non-violent communication, the process and outcomes of non-violent communication, and the expression and receiving of gratitude that helps us all learn and grow. I look forward to putting these strategies to use in my daily life, especially with my family.

this is great structure for considerations in navigating children's development. many of the lessons in this book have direct applicability to our family. While The book is not exhaustive and may not apply to every situation being more geared towards the data from high achieving students rather than those that struggle, the patterns the focus and the mental models are universally applicable. The conclusion of the book pulls it all together by focusing on the children's strength to help boost their capabilities in life, and still confidence, and maximize results. I highly recommend this book in your personal library for child development.

this book appears to be about recruiting, but it is about affiliate marketing. it has nothing to do with building a staff or team or finding talent, but rather on building an affiliate marketing business.

While the book was a bit repetitive at times, it does offer a great perspective on working backwards. Beginning with purpose is often neglected in most organizations (and in our daily lives). Simon Sinek offers keen insight into purpose driven initiatives that is well worth the read!

Great book when considering education of youth

This book offers a wonderful perspective on passion driven education. Given our minds are associative it makes common sense to attach the educational process to that children express natural aptitude and interest in. The book does carry some negative perspectives on current educational systems and the history they derive from (which in many cases are well founded). This can come off a bit opinionated at times, but if you read through these elements the text is a true gem. Connor Boyack serves his purpose in creating conflict early to then offer a plausible solution (at least at the micro-educational scale focused on the individual). I recommend this book to any parent or person struggling to invigorate a passion for learning.
