Wow...just wow

I have 432 books in my library and this is easily in the top 10, if not the top 5. The story was well thought out and the narration was top notch, both as would be expected given the names involved in this project.

A wonderful underdog story with solid and well formed world building, support characters and overall level of detail. My only disappointment is that there aren't more books in the series on audible yet. I will definitely be buying the next one!

It's like a movie you loved when you were 13

I'm several hours into this book and have to call it quits. It reminds me of going back to a movie as an adult that I loved when I was a kid. I sit there and wonder how I could have even finished it. There is very little world development, so suspending reality is very difficult. The concepts seem very much geared towards a child's way of thinking and conceptualization. Maybe this is geared towards young adults and I'm not the expected audience. Either way, I just can't continue with it. The narration, as always by this duo is amazing.

My time is valuable...

I'm a huge fan of David Wong's books, but I'm 6 hours into this book and virtually nothing has happened. It's just been plot setup. Maybe the second half of the book is all action and closure, but I can't afford to waste anymore time waiting and hoping. The narrator does a respectable job. She has a tough time with some of the male voices, but that's to be expected if only using a single narrator.

Wildly Exceeded Expectations!

Wow! I just finished books 1&2 and I'm craving more. I wish there were more books in this series, I'd buy them all! This series is a wonderful mix of comedy, coming of age and awesomely inappropriate commentary.

I was slightly concerned when I started book 1 that Todd Haberkorn didn't have the female lead's voice nailed down, but it was short lived. The emotion that he put into his voice acting has no equal and was a solid 5-start performance. I'm beyond impressed.

TLDR: Buy this book immediately; you can thank me later.

good, but getting too x-rated for my taste

fun series but feels like it's headed towards a harem feel. too much time and detail spent on sexual encounters for my taste. that may appeal to sone readers, but I'd prefer less effort spent on those details and more spend on the overall story.

otherwise, the story, character building and progression was great.

Great start to a series

This is definitely a book that you need to suspend reality to enjoy, but the main characters and writing style make it worthwhile. A strong female soldier helps a young geeky genius come into his own in an earth-based alien battlefield. The story is endearing and fun. I would have liked to see a few additional plot points expanded upon, but hopefully they will be in the next book of the series.

Epic space-action meets Rambo. It would be a disservice to the human-race if this doesn't turn into a series and a movie franchise!

If you're on the fence, just buy it. Ray Porter could read the phone-book and make it seem interesting, so you really have nothing to lose...

Love the series, but this book felt hollow.

I love this series. R.C. Bray is amazing and the writing is extremely funny. However, this installment felt forced, off and uninspired. Skippy was exploring more of his "human side", but came off as less capable, less invested and whiny. Speaking of whiny, I could make a drinking game based on how many times Joe broke down and complained how pointless and impossible each past mission had been when facing a new obstacle. I also missed the intimacy and collaboration between Joe and Skippy in past books.

Additionally, as others have said there have been some crew changes. I'm hoping that this was a necessary book to setup a very exciting transition to the series. Otherwise I'll be quite disappointed. All that said, at the end of the day R.C Bray's performance saved the day and the story was still enjoyable enough to finish. I'm crossing my fingers that the next book returns the series to it's previous awesomeness.

as usual a hilarious installment of Space Team. Also, I've loved the last few books by this duo that have included outtakes at the end! I wish everyone did this.

The two forwards are worth a credit alone

I was hesitant to buy this book. I loved the series, but just wasn't excited about a continuation to the current story line. However, as others have mentioned, this was an excellent departure from the old and a wonderful new direction.

All that aside, seriously...this book is worth a credit for just the two forwards alone. Trust me...you'll thank me.
