Extreme Alcohol Consumption

The problem of extreme drug and alcohol consumption seems to be the common thread in many acquaintance rape cases, especially as presented in this book. I have read all of Krakauer's work, and am a long time supporter of his great reporting, however, this work seems biased and the problem of college kids' extreme partying, and the poor judgement caused by this, is all but ignored. Furthermore, the complexities of young sexuality seem totally ignored, as well.
I think the more complex aspects of human behavior needed to be addressed here, and were not.
