great storyline
Revisado: 07-20-14
The storyline was really good, but the audio was stupid. The sound effects and music with the male reader was annoying.

Not for the innocent
Revisado: 05-28-14
This was a hard core book. The language and story where very explicit. And yet I had to listen to the end. Sorry that this is a very unhelpful review, but I'm NOT a writer.

Historia
One morning in March, on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea, a woman named Karen Drew is found in her wheelchair with her throat slit. Back in Eastvale on that same morning, in a tangle of narrow alleys behind a market square, the body of Hayley Daniels is found raped and strangled. On loan to a sister precinct, Detective Inspector Annie Cabbot draws the first case, but she turns up nothing in Karen Drew's past that might have prompted someone to kill her.

I don't know what it was about this book, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it was the narrator. Anyway, I didn't even get past the second chapter.

Historia
Caitlin Decter is young, pretty, feisty, a genius at math - and blind. Still, she can surf the net with the best of them, following its complex paths clearly in her mind. But Caitlin's brain long ago co-opted her primary visual cortex to help her navigate online. So when she receives an implant to restore her sight, instead of seeing reality, the landscape of the World Wide Web explodes into her consciousness, spreading out all around her in a riot of colors and shapes.

To many stories in one
Revisado: 08-21-12
I have never read Robert J Sawyer before, and I was kinda disappointed. The summary sounded quite good. I like sci-fi stuff. Then I started listening and found that there where 4 differant stories going on. I kept waiting for them all to come together at some point, and only 2 of them did. Now if I want to find out how the other 2 tie in I'll have to buy the next www book, and I'm just not sure that I want to.
I also really didn't like having all the differant readers.
Anyway, thats just my humble opinion.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

funny
Revisado: 05-09-12
I thought that this was a great take on "vampires". The author has a wonderful sense of humor that I really connected with, kinda like my own. The narrator however, didn't have a very good range in the differant voices though.
